Once people master their most effective Clan killing machines,

Can you pls define what you mean by Mastering, as i beleive it could have two different meanings here.
Thanks.

I'm talking mastering as in purely unlocking Pilot efficiencies, which would probably have the most effect on overall numbers as far as the advantages gained in battle (i.e. 2x Cool run etc).

Thinking about the actual skill based mastery of a chassis, that's something that will likely be ongoing for some time, especially for newer players.

More established players however likely won't have that great a learning curve for their new machines. Once they get to grips with changed hitboxes and handling/weapon placement dynamics, they'll probably be as close to effective in Clan machines as they were in their IS ones. Maybe.

BrAVo Sir, a well tooled pod if infografics and I appreciate your time and effort. I would love to revisit this in a month's time with a large base and the time for pilots to level up their machines. I have always played an aggressive medium before I took a 8 month break, came back and played much more consertively however very much considering going back to aggressive faster build mediums just to dodge that heavy clan alpha.

Great stuff OP, interesting to see the trends. Will have to see how things change over the next few weeks as people skill up the clan mechs, that could swing things quite a bit.

I would say any superiority in these stats may be attributed to the fact that on average the more serious players purchased and play clan. Being the better or more seasoned players they on average score more.
If this is the case they are well balanced with the IS.

It really did make the invasion seem like superhuman warriors had arrived and the inner sphere was heavily pressed.

Unfortunately we do not have faction warfare still.

This is a hilariously self serving and baseless statement.

It is just a theory not fact. I do know that a lot of my friends have not invested a penny and have been playing inner sphere still without a change to their K/D ratio since clans came out.

But almost all the people in large group organisations that train etc all got the clan pack. Naturally they are all busy playing these and due to their practice at the game know the best META and are fairly good at what they do. Whether they drop singularly or with their group.

There will of course remain those die hard groups that want to role play the inner sphere and its heroic stand against the clans and thus did not purchase any clan packs. I would guess this would be rare.

I can understand why you would think that I was just being self serving though. I agree my theory also has no statistics to back it up and nor is it possible to gather any. It will always remain a "hunch".

I think people can agree the clans have a higher DPS. But the IS meta builds are dangerous due to their pin point damage. But unless you're using a hit and run build. You're kinda in for a hard time. I know my LRM Treb feels pretty weak because of how easily it gets shredded by Clan builds. And it can't compete with Clan LRM builds, even if they supposedly suffer more to AMS, since not surprisingly a lot of people play without AMS.

NEW DATA added. I've added some new metrics, and thrown in a couple of stunning hypotheses. What do you guys think? Am I on to something with the (C) mechs and 0 damage?

Quite likely. Champion mechs are usually trial mechs, so the players piloting them are usually newbies. Newbies who, obviously, aren't going to be of much use in the battlefield. Learn to walk before you can run and all that. The zero damage mechs... sometimes that will actually eliminate a legitimate match but I don't think that's a common occurence. It's almost always a disconnect.

So, what you may have achieved in essence is eliminate (some) external factors that add noise to the analysis (and apparently makes IS look worse than it really is). This can only be a good thing.

One thing to consider is that removing (C) and 0 damage mechs by ignoring their end game stats still leaves their 'damage taken' and deaths added to the non (C) mechs. Further since Clan mechs can not be (C) mechs yet, this means their damage/kills are skewed higher. Still it is really nice to get some preliminary numbers. I wish PGI would release stats like this (or better yet the raw data).
