Ok, in simple terms - he doesn't have a clan mech, he doesn't have a leg to stand on to say whether they're more powerful or not.

There's irony in the OP... just think about it.

The fact that your logic is flawed doesn't matter. The topic of this discussion is WHO is taking a leave of absence from the game? If you bought the clan mechs... the question isn't really directed at you at all.

So, there you have it, sir. I understand why all the complaining can start blurring together in your mind, but the topic on this thread is in bold. I thought it was pretty plainly stated.

How do people survive their teenage years? I swear, bones must be made of rubber at that age and brains not inserted into heads until 21.

I do just fine in my Stalker with (3) ERLLs and (4) LRM5s. Actually, I win more than I ever have with that now with more kills and higher damage. The problem is its the only mech I do seem to win in and the only tactic is to hide/cover/stay out of range, soften the with missiles the finish with the ERLLs from far out. If anyone gets in close I'm toast. I haven't found build yet in any IS mech where I can hold out for very long brawling.

So yes with my one mech its fine using one tactic and it gets old really quick. I'd never say things are balanced just because of the only good option I have to play is successful. I've already started playing less and I'll likely just trail off altogether soon.

Yeah, I'm on the same page as you. When I played the last time, it's not like our team was losing all the time - and it's not like I was getting destroyed every game. I did change tactics to stay alive - but those tactics make the game less fun. So, what if I DO want to brawl? I can't. There's no good brawler (DDC Atlas works pretty well when you stick with clan mechs on your team...)

I'm not saying I can't play the game well, now. I'm saying it's not FUN now - because of the clan mechs and clan weapons and those not being available to me unless I shell out more money. But it's not just that, either. It's the disturbing thought that several of my IS mechs which have always been good are no longer effective.

I'm not leaving because I'm losing. I'm leaving because I'm not enjoying the current state of the game.

Simply not fun.

Why are people quitting now? SRMs have made brawling fun again plus LRM spam is much, much more survivable.

I am scratching my head why anyone would quit now as opposed to any time the first half of this year.

I totally understand why you'd question that given the fact that it's the same-old-same-old. Every few months PGI makes some big changes and it's like learning to play the game all over again.

That's just it, though. I'm sick of that - and this particular change makes the game not-fun for me. I've survived all the other imbalances... but when does it end? The fact is, other online games don't HAVE this problem. It's incredibly frustrating. The makers of MWO need to seriously consider attending a training session on how to get it right and keep the game fun WHILE implementing changes.

Other games make changes all the time... without changing the entire gameplay. And don't get me started on the bogs of the most recent interface...

I'm tired of hoping for the changes that would make the game better. And that's not to say that they haven't done a LOT of great things, because they have. I love the game and a lot of stuff PGI did.

I'll be back when they fix the brokenness that now exists.

Please stop spamming this comment topic with unrelated pictures that don't include any relevant response about the subject. I'm interested in hearing from people, which is why I started the topic. Go start a new thread and be cute there - hold hands - pat each other on the back - and whatever else may delight your mind.

If you spoke your mind - move on. Thanks

This isn't an "I quit thread". This thread has not been fairly moderated.
