My ELO rating must put me in the good bracket, but on the scrub team.....I see soooooo many 2-12 wipes....
On the flip side, Just because the kill count is low for the losing side, does not always equate to a stomp. I'm quite aggressive in my K2 in the early parts of a match, i will often charge lines and try to draw peoples attention.
When i start losing too much armor i will back off and "hide" behind fresher 'Mechs.
It's kind of like Starcraft, top end players will Blink out damaged Stalkers (Protoss) to the rear lines because a Stalker with 1 HP is doing the same damage as the Stalker at full HP.
The same principle applies in MWO, just because I'm damaged doesn't mean I'm no longer a threat.
IMO, a Stomp is only a True Stomp when the losing side has negligible damage across the board. If i lose 12 - 0, but my team has 10 'Mechs in the 400+ damage range, we simply got outplayed, not stomped, as the other team was clever enough to pull back damaged assets into a rear support role.
I really, REALLY wish we could get the percentile status indicator attached to everyone on the scoreboard. That way, You could see just how spread out or concentrated that damage was.
Seeing the enemy team win with all 12 'mechs at sub 50% means a good match. Losing to 12 'mechs at 90%+ indicates a real stomp.
