Whatever. This is interesting.

Beta Galaxy: The Mistweavers
"Beta Galaxy paints its 'Mechs in a multilayered grey camouflage consisting of horizontal streaks, meant to represent a mist. Bloodnamed warriors paint large felid eyes on the torso of their 'Mechs, and may even add other felid features as well. Kills are marked by smaller pairs of eyes placed randomly on the 'Mech, though some warriors have taken to placing them near the weapons which delivered the final blow. The Elementals of Beta Galaxy have been seen in both this scheme and the traditional jaguar spot camo."

A small example. Big felid eyes on the torso and marked kills on the arms of this Dire Wolf.

I am interested in possibly joining the CSJ who run the server for MWLL, I would like to learn more about the trial process usedwith the 3 separate battles, what the MWO plans are, and the general feel as a clan.

Go sign up on their site, the Smoke Jaguars have a good website and it is probably the best way of contacting them

Just headcanon, but I would tag the Beta Galaxy insignia as perhaps two large Jaguar eyes peering through mist?

Headcanon or not. It's probably a good idea. Scary jaguar eyes, which lurk through the mist camo. I like it and i would tag it too.

Time is near and we already have our eyes on you!

Check out the Alpha- and the Delta Galaxy. They also have beautiful paintings.

I was wondering, since Clan Blood Spirit, of which I have been Khan for some time, will not be featured in the invading clans, would you averse to us filling out your ranks in some capacity? Several of our members claim CSJ allegiance prior to acceptance into the Blood Spirits (CBS NBT-HC roleplay is worth a read to see what CBS had planned and where we come from.)(Trooper Thorn and Jahziel in particular)

Of course. if there is an offshoot which allows the whole of the Clans to be featured (like a planetary league), we would, of course, remand back to CBS.

Check us out at our current website and have your senior leadership contact me, Ryu or Trooper. Heck, even register on our website. We have info, but sorry, no cookies.

If allegiance to the Clans are anything like what have been described for the houses then someone being averse to someone declaring allegiance is a moot point. You do or do not, the decision is with the individual player and that is that.

Who in their right mind would object more players to a super faction anyhow?

The Dire Wolf, 100 tons, first produced by Clan Smoke Jaguar

First produced by Smoke Jaguar, but created by Wolf. The rights to production were lost to Smoke Jaguar due to a trial of possession fought dishonourably.

Do love the Mad Dog though, even if it is an insult to Clan Wolf. The Warhawk is pretty cool too.

With the revelation of Flame Throwers in MW:O, you are going to have to brace for that flame-war for at least several months.

( At least the Wolves did not lose all their objectives at the battle of Tukayyid to freebirth scum. :o )

It has been a while since I scoped the net for Smoke Jaguar related canon. I noticed that some one has basically copy/pasted what is written on sarna.wiki all over the place. Once upon a time ago you could see each clan/innershpere history from many historians own veiws, citing and following canon of course. I gotta say the current historical text that is out there is unflattering and leaves a ton of holes. Almost like some dueche bag went on power trip and rewrote it for everyone. I have read a fair amount of the books, have been an avid fan and player of all the FASA games since i was a little kid. It is disapointing to see only one recount of my fav clans history and a very opinionated one at that. What gives?

Probably because a majority of the books have fallen out of libraries. I've tried for years to get books from my provincial library to no avail. I've heard of similar examples as well.

I hear ya. It would be nice if Battlecorps could pdf all the old novels and sell them at a low price. It would also be nice to see published paper books again!

Best Clan ever! Period.

I just love the Smoke Jaguars. Their pure form as Nicholas created. Their strict and rules-controlled society. Their despise toward all the non-warrior-like aspects of the warfare as trueborns in fighting ranks, use of artillery or ordinary infantry and so on.

My biggest compassion goes to them too. With their unflinched warrior-pride they strived to be the Il-Clan; they fought like none others and they were repeatedly back-stabbed by almost everybody: spheroids and Clan "brothers" as well. They stood completely alone against IS' might. I wonder what the lousy Wolves or the hatred Jade Birds would have done in their place? (boy I hate those two Clans)

My favourite Battletech novel collection is the Twilight of the Clans saga. It's a must for every Jaguar out there.

I hope in time Fidelis will grow stronger and strike a mortal blow to the true Jaguar foes: Jade Falcons and the Wolves. Those two Clans did a lot more damage than the entire Bulldog and Serpent campaigns!

Long live the Smoke Jaguars! :)

You have only been here a short time my friend. I for one make it clear I only use Sarna for wiping my ***. Check the forums & you will find good debates with people who have an in-depth knowledge & understanding of how the Clans work with their own views, as well as quotes from source material. :)
