The new group queue is making group matches a little tougher, but overall is a good change. The new UI tweaks including the "private lobby" functions for groups are nice. Fall Damage didn't really seem to change much for me.

Which brings me around to the targeting computer- I tried it a couple times last night, but out of all the new stuff in the patch it was the hardest to gauge the effects of... it seemed to help a little, but only a little- I just couldn't tell how much in the few matches that I got to try it out in....

So anybody else, did you get to test TC very much last night, and what are your feelings on it? Too weak for the tonnage cost, or worth it's weight in gold?

I've been using level 1 through level 3 and it seems to be doing it's job. Energy weapons reach further, projectile speed is faster....and I've been getting a LOT of components destroyed, so the crit thing must be working.

Extra critting seems to be working.

Cool, I think I only ran about 3 matches in the one build I equipped with it, just not enough to really tell whether it was working or not. (one out of the 3 matches was really good, but I couldn't tell if targeting computer was helping or if people on the other team were just doing a great job of standing right in front of my guns.)

I ran from a class 2 to a class 5. I didn't notice any huge benefit at that level, but I was running a gauss which already has a fast projectile speed. The issue is the crit bonus is the real kicker, and its hard to track that actually going off.

So in answer, I don't know?

TCU's should reduce beam duration instead of boosting laser range. Also, their crit buff should also apply to MGs and LBX. It would help those weapons be more useful.

Uhhh.. Hmmm.. I thought their crit bonus did apply to MGs and LBX. Did I miss something saying they did not?

If I remember correctly, in-game the tooltip says that it excludes those weapon types.

Well, I'll get to test more tonight- I am hopeful that TC can help out some of the Thor loadouts I have that seem to have more tonnage for weapons than slots. I had one match last night that went really well for me, but then again the enemy team just kept standing in front of me like I was going to take a picture of them and post it to facebook or something...so I feel like the enemy helped me accomplish more of that victory than the TC did.

On the build I am running TC on currently, I could only have a StreakSRM4 or some MGs with AMS, or extra armor and ammo for the 3 tons the TC takes up currently, so the TC only has to do so much to be a more worthwhile option for me.

Haha - but unless he's going in reverse at 65mph, aren't the sparks going the WRONG way? :)

It does not effect guass either, according to the in-game description. Only non-LBX autocannon and PPC projectile speed and non-LBX autocannon, PPC, and laser crit chances. Also adds to laser max range.

Wait, what? In the dev blogs it said that it would work for Gauss...

I have a TC on my 4LL Warhawk and outside the obvious 937m range, I notice very little. I had the TC2 on my 4 ER PPC Warhawk, noticed no difference really. I would rather have the 2 extra heatsink.
