Hearing a rumble in the distance, I stepped out and gazed through the dust that had begun to settle on the horizon. A call to arms!! Quickly I run inside to find it. Digging through endless piles of scrap I search for it. There it lay, alone and dusty. No longer! Your time is approaching. Soon they shall know your wrath.

Yes i am so excited that Mechwarrior is back and looking forward to this new era of mechanized combat . So far everything i have read about making the mechs more suited to their rolls and bringing value back to the light classes with information warfare is a dream come true. The inclusion of possible interactive cockpits, and the focus on creating a more sim esque mech experience, plus the addition of an rpg element with pilot / mech skills. How can you go wrong. My joystick awaits.

lol I have logitech extreme 3d that I ONLY used for mechwarrior and the occasional space sim, it's so dusty and old I don't even know if it's win7 compatible!

That brings back memories.

Only mine weren't USB. They were game port.

I picked up a logitech a couple of years ago when my old force feedback one died, but haven't had the opportunity to really use it until BF3 came out.

So I'm salivating at the mech possibilities!

Mine is an extreme 3d pro and it works fine in 7, so here's hoping.

I'm going to be getting a Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas X joystick soon to replace my old Sidewinder Precision Pro. Should make MWO (not to mention Mech 4) many magnitudes more awesome. :3

I prefer the mouse though for Mech 2 and 3.

Hardly dusty. I still play MW4 Mercs, tho just the SP campaign or AI's. And MWO needs to support joysticks because 'mechs have walking plus torso twist with torso-twist a key component of target tracking from a moving 'mech, and your 'mech must move freely to dodge when possible. Hard to do with a 30-100 ton walking tank.

Using a basic Logitech Pro, has an excellent, easy to use sensitivity adjustment feature. What you want for missile-lock ons.

The HOTAS works well with the latest Mektek MW4 release, initially you had to use ppjoyjoy to do some axis-swapping to make the "pedals" work right.
That's what I'm using now. Will probably be combining it with a USB Top Gun stick I picked up for cheap at a thrift store using ppjoyjoy, since the TG has the exact trigger/button layout as the stick in the Tesla pods.

I can't find the USB adapter for my old SW 3D Pro :)

Saitek X52 Pro staring at me right now.... gift from the wife, was rocking and rolling on mektek.net with this thing until three nights ago.

Then upgraded to Windows 7. :) Gotta get new drivers and redo all my profiles now. But for a good HOTAS, totally worth it (for another OS, not so much, lol)

I had one of those "Sidewinder 3D" I think it was called to play MW2. Pivot the joystick to control the torso. Pretty nifty.

I do't have it anymore though... M+KB for me.

Got a gamepad too but it doesn't seem optimal.

Sadly, if they are really trying to push this "mass-market free-to-play" model, expect little-to-no Joystick support. Can't have anything that would turn off casuals, now would it?

You know they said in faq that there are going to be multiple control schemes?
