2: When i have a lot of JJ's and i jump on top of a building the mech sometimes makes an unaturall "hop" after the landing.
This "hop" is often high enough to damage the legs badly.

Yeah, I've had this happen to me a few times too. It's really difficult to describe, but it's almost as if you get stuck in the air for a while but it counts as freefall time, so that when you finally do actually drop, the game thinks you've been falling for dozens of meters instead of three or four.

I've had different variations of this happen in mechs of different weight classes. So some more actual feedback on jump jets is that they stink.

Simply, Assault and Heavy mech's JJ are weak, hoverjets just aren't very useful. Jump sniping isn't going to come back. The desynchronization has made it so.

Actually, the jumpjets from the DWF-S side torsos are plenty to make the mech much, much more maneuverable than without. I will never jump snipe with it, but that is not what jump jets should be for, imo.

Jump Jets should have serious forward movement to them. More than verticle.
There. Jump sniping solved, and Hover Jets™ solved.

As it is, I don't field JJs on heavies or assaults. They're terribad.

At the very least, it would be nice to maintain any forward momentum you had during a jump instead of losing speed.

But Class-I JJ's need some thrust and fuel back, Class-II need more fuel, Class-III Iv V need better thrust and height caps back.

JJs are better than they were before, but still need some buffing to make them more viable for combat.

Why doesn't MWO Jump Jet use ramp physics? With the ramp already providing an upward velocity vector. Why does a Mech, a very heavy object, slow so fast when flying in mid air? Total lack of inertia, air is just not that thick. Also mechs should not be landing with legs 90 degrees off axis, those landing would snap legs off.

MW4 had better jump physics except for the total lack of falling damage.

I like the new scheme and to what most people say. I really think they need to add more landing damage just a little bit.Posted Image
