I'm just saying, if I liked the Vindicator Hero, I'd be buying one. No offense was meant as I don't understand what CERLL has to do with the Vindicator (any of them from his description in his post). His post just makes me feel it's a (no offense meant still) false promise to try and produce a desired result he likes (and has nothing to actually do with the Vindicator itself).

The Vindicator...? Do any of you devs ever talk to each other? You already had your "Clan invasion". Who with any sense would have a need for the Vindicator? Or for that matter any medium Mech in this version of BT/MW. your a year late on this one dev team but keep up the good work? So for the player who loves to hunt bear with a switch we have the Mech for you.

I plan to use the hell out of it because I love it. Because I'm not a munchkin who has to have Clan this and double strength that to enjoy a game. Not all of us are power gamers who can't enjoy something unless it is the biggest or best. This Mech will fill out the last of my old school, 3025 Capellan mechs and that is what I like to play. Do I win much? Nope, but I play for the enjoyment of the simulation, not what mech will give me the most kills.
I hope that community warfare will eventually allow those of us who aren't in love with the whole Clan crap to have some 3025 tech games with our friends and limit the tech and mechs to ones set in the timeline we love.
I can't wait to step into the cockpit of this classic and feel what it would be like to fight the Davion hordes invading our homeland.

Prepare to see a lot of those in black-yellow camo with red stars, coz we're going to master those hard as soon as they're available.

Either word is perfectly find within my location sentence. (AKA: I'm not surprised that I'm not as good of a mechwarrior as I'd love to imagine, just as much as I'm not fooled into the belief that I'm any better than anyone else either. Either one works.)

Though, Delude would make me appear to be smarter! But I wouldn't want to imply something else either! :(

Hate to say it, but if I get to choose who I'm attacking in CW, It's so going to be Liao. (I have not liked them for a long time.) Nothing personal. I just hate your leaders. :o (Then again, if St. Ives Compact was a faction option, I'd be a member of them instead, or at least it'd be a very close and tough decision for me to make.)

Lousy choice for another IS mech. Vindy was lousy in TT, there is no reason to believe it will be otherwise in MWO.
I'd take a UrbanMech before taking a Vindy. Raven is the only truly decent mech design by the Crappellans up to this point in the timeline, and even then without recovered Star League era electronics (BAP, ECM, TAG) it would have been crap too.

People have forgotten about one simple thing: It doesn't matter if you win or lose, it's about having fun.

I don't know about you, but I usually have more fun by winning... :(

To a point, but I'd prefer to pilot 'Mechs I find interesting and lose than pilot 'Mechs I'm indifferent to and win. LRMing a Locust to death with my BLR-1S tends to lose its charm after the 4 time.

I used to think that a lot, but most of my best matches were losses.

Usually really close losses (IE down to 2 crippled mechs, could have gone either way)
But I have had quite a few awesome matches where the final score was 0-12. :P

Of course now, one tends to remember the losses more, so it could be that I have had similar awesome wins, but do not remember them as much as the losses. :(

Have you played TT?

Vindi was actually one of the better mediums out there.

I'm actually wondering if it'll have a positive value of the External Heat Transfer perk that the Hellslinger had as a negative.

Not really a negative- it actually means that external sources of heat only apply at 50% for the Hellslinger.

That means half the heat penalty wading through lava on Terra Therma, for example. Or being hit by flamers.

On the other hand, it gets 50% of the cooling from cold maps like Frozen City. More of a mixed blessing.

Blackjack are almost extinct nowadays. AC2 nerf killed them. I know there will be some people that will buy the Vindicator just for looks, but I doubt it will be more fun than a Blackjack...
