As has been pointed out, if you're experiencing lag, sync issues, don't run the repair kit, don't flush your DNS, don't do anything, this is a server side problem.

This was a mess up somewhere along the lines from the last patch, you have to run the repair tool in the Bin32 folder in the MWO directory. It will take some time but try it. If it doesn't work try again.

I found i had to delete my shaders folder under the USER folder to prevent my mechs from highlighting red too, but that may of just been me.

MWO may be loosing another player pretty soon. After spending lots of money on clan mechs, things have gone down the drain. When trying to drop into a match, I get the message "disconnected from server". When I do manage to drop, after a loooong wait and a black screen, I get so much lag which makes it basically impossible to play. I have never had this problem before. I checked with my ISP, my line seems fine, did speed tests, connection seems fine, ping seems a bit higher than usual though. Man, I wish this problem can be sorted out soon.

My ping before the patch was ~110ms and now it is ~125ms. The ping of 110ms was rock stable, now it jumps up and down from ~250ms back to ~125ms and everything in between.

This is pretty bad, esp. if the correction algorithms assume a "constant" ping. Nevertheless, the higher the ping, the worser.

~24 machine guns being fired at once lag the server out. Servers periodically will lag out for no apparent reason as well.

PGI i have active premium time it's time for a refund at least to some degree, especially if we have to probably wait till the next patch to get a fix as you stated here
https://twitter.com/...147465051578368

You know waiting like 3 weeks for a fix on a major problem while having payed to play it's not funny anymore.

More info to the whole "ping" topic.
From germany, I do a tracert to 70.42.29.65 (mwtactics)

Short version:

From my home to the central hub in Frankfurt, I need 17 ms, then it goes over the ocean and reaches mwtactics with 109 ms. Well, that exactly the value I expected. But in-game, I do not get a ping below ~125 ms and I see lags and jumping quite often.

Observation:
If many missiles are fired, the whole game starts to lag. I still got my 60 fps.

Just sent a ticket in to support to add my info to the issue. These lag / game freeze issues are getting really annoying. Makes it really hard to play when many of the matches end up watching mechs run on the spot.

This patch BROKE MY MWO!
Why?

1) When I want to login, I sometimes get a stupid random error "Network connection problem occured" even if I tried to login 1000 times, it will still say that so I have to close the game and open it back again which pisses me off cause I hate wasting time, don't you?

2) Error in patch menu.

3) Moonwalking mech AKA SUDDEN LAG-INGAME EVENTHOUGH MY PING IS TOTALLY FREAKING FINE so I had to disconnect and rejoin and guess what? I joined into my dead mech! ;)

Seriously this patch SUCKS! I know you won't care about me cause you got thousands of people to care more or maybe million but these kinds of bugs/error turn me off and made me play other game. Sometimes, I regret giving you guys my money and having a broken game in return.

This morning was kicked out of Mechlab due to server connection lost. Just about 30 min ago was disconnected from a game (was able to rejoin...and get a kill, w00000t). Have not had such issues in a while.

...but I am seeing more DC's lately. I saw a post that said PGI should reset the servers more often than they do (every patch release?) and it has been a while since last patch...

Perhaps do morning resets at 10am pst twice a week on Tues/Thurs every week...?

Just now saw a Twitch match with an insane server crash. Many DCs. Saw the user get teleported back nearly 1km to where he was 3 minutes prior. Timer ran down to 00:00 with the score 0-0 and nothing happened.

Had 14 games since July 22th, only 1 match with problems. I did use repair tool on July 19th (and contacted support too, sent some files to them) and have much less problems now compared to post-patch (July 12th to 18th, often had crappy matches on this timespan, like 8 out of 10). Also did a fresh install on 22th.

OH YEAH, 1 more thing.. After a game, I get sent back to the login menu and when I try to login, it will just stay at "CONNECTING" even if I left it for a thousand years, it will just stay there. Ummm what the hell?

Same here. already had "server connection lost" 4 times this day. after that when i try to log in again i get the "network error occurred" message for like 3 minutes (just enough time so i cant reconnect to the game and get xp, funny).

and also extreme lags and rubberbanding every other match.

seeing the amount of gold mechs i encounter, this must be one of the most wellfunded F2P games right now. and you still cant get your stuff together

As promised a quick update on this issue, we investigated and found some unnecessary hit effect messages being sent from the server to the client which have now been removed and also there has been some tuning done to the movement messages to ensure that we don't send too many deltas within too short a time period.

These changes have been tested on public test and found to be working very well so they have been moved into tomorrow's patch. We look forward to seeing how these improvements work on production and as always appreciate your patience while we investigated and looked for a resolution.

We don't know the exact reason at this time why network performance seemed to degrade suddenly our best guess currently is those redundant hit effect messages that were being sent by the server have been increasing due to Mechs like the Nova that are able to field larger groups of weapons and generate large numbers of these messages rapidly and are still gaining in popularity.

We'll continue to monitor after tomorrows patch and make further improvements as necessary.

First match of the night...decon'd near the end, right after getting 2 kills and helping out in a real close match. Too late in the match to reconnect.

JUST set up a twitch stream and of course now is when PGI servers go toast.
