As title say, Servers are up. Friends have download the patch and are playing. When I launch, I get the servers are "Still undergoing maint. Please try again later" error."

Anyone receiving this or is it time to Repair tool, then re-install.......?

-----------------------

Order of steps to take to fix this issue:

1) Hit Start, open or type in the Run prompt the following:

CMD

type

ipconfig /flushdns

hit enter, then retry

2) Try changing your DNS provider following this guide:

https://developers.g...-dns/docs/using

3) If neither works, open a support ticket or post to the forums here with the following info:

a) who your ISP is
:D approximate location (if you are comfortable sharing it)
c) the results of opening the command prompt and issuing this command: nslookup patcher.mwomercs.com
d) the results of tracert patcher.mwomercs.com

Same here. Running the repair tool at the moment to try and see if it fixes it.

Sorry, but I'm not a tech person, and I'm not reconfiguring my network settings for a game that's worked flawlessly for the past year and a half. If this persists I'll reinstall at some point, but i suspect the problem is on your end.

Many of the players here have it. Including myself. Seems to be affecting only UK players atm. Though 2 UK players have gotten into the game.

Changing the IPv4 setting worked (IPv6 did not). My launcher is patching now.
It's a horrible fix, but it worked.

Edit: I'm in US, so it's not just UK players.

I guess my question then, is whether or not this is something you can address internally, or whether you just expect people to change DNS settings to run your game. Just because its worked for people doesn't mean that everyone is willing to do this.

Just to confirm, UK user on Virgin Media getting the same glitch. I'll probably give the DNS trick a go after I've had a stiff drink...

Sorry, but I will not even consider the above as a 'solution'. I will not change my paid for services from my ISP because of a problem on your end.

This is your end, and you need to fix it.

I've already opened a ticket and receive an equally as ridiculous response and they closed the ticket.

Please make a sensible response and look for a reasonable solution.

thanks,

Remember if a Google DNS change results in a 'fix' to your problem then your ISP is to blame not us.

ISP's want to squeeze as much money out of plebeians; one way they do this is by ignoring DNS caching rules and holding onto data to serve to your computer as long as possible to save pennies here and there. They break your experience, not us.

So when we ask you to switch your DNS to fix a problem it doesn't reside on either of our ends; look to your ISP as the culprit.

It's a conspiracy between PGIGP and google so they can log all the IPs you access!

THEY KNOW ABOUT THE MECH PORN!
