Old arm lock functionality needs to be restored please, I have no idea why they thought it was a good idea to replace the existing functionality instead of adding an additional option.

Nobody wanted toggle to replace press to hold, people wanted the OPTION.

Here is how it should work as a minimum.

Bindable button for "hold to toggle"
Different bindable button for "press to toggle"
Option in settings to select default state.

As an added bonus you it would be nice to be able to select a different default state on a per mech basis - selectable in mech lab (optional).

To be fair, games back before broadband/internet capable consoles were quality products. Now it just seems that games are released flawed or lacking content just because they want you to keep spending money on micro-transactions/DLC.

He's right though. Before, you couldn't patch a game once released so it had to be as near to perfect as possible before going gold. Now, games are being released in seriously flawed conditions so publishers can begin recouping their investments sooner rather than later. They operate under the "good enough to launch, patch later" mindset and it sucks.

Of course, I would be remiss in my observations if I didn't also address the fact that games cost orders of magnitude more to develop today than they used to, and that's part of the incentive to release now and patch later.

Tuesday's patch, July 29, will have the old style arm lock as an option.

You're welcome.
