Lrm are most dangerous weapon when I'm driving my Locust. I find them to be kind of frustrating. Any other weapon does not bother me I hardly every get hit, going 169 they still chew off my armor.
This seems kind of screwed up to me. Trying to find cover from 2 or 3 Lrm boats can be impossible.
Never mind avoiding fall damage at the same time. Saving for some modals to try and help.I might have to use Ams again,hate to loose the fire power.

I'm sick of hearing people say the locust sucks.(because they are not a good enough pilot)

Yes, 169kp/h lights should be impervious to everything but the fastest of ISP's.

No, you don't get it. These people don't understand the concept of "cover" AT ALL. Otherwise they wouldn't even need the Radar Derp module.

Get target deprivation. And move into cover from wherever the lurms are coming from and don't just stop in the spot just out of cover. As long as you break LOS and are not narced. They should miss.

Find one get shot at by another. Clan Lrm still work at close range. I play hit and run tactic stay around to long = death. Can't keep a steady lock with out being killed the locust is not a normal light mech. Normal light tactics are suicide.

Patch notes mention that LRMs do pinpoint damage when hit (so, full damage to the part of the mech it hits, with no splash damage to other sections).

If you were really that good of a pilot, you wouldn't be having issues with LRMs.

Nope, but running past them on the way to the next attack vector can be. Also, um, try AMS. It ain't perfect, but between that and speed and intelligent use of cover, my 3M never really has issues with LRMs.

TDKs and Embers, yes. LRMs, no.

Standing like a derp in the open gets anything killed, and it doesn't even require ECM. And TBH, if those worry you more than a gauss or double PPC to the knee, you are in the steering wheel underhive, anyhow.

I'm not that great of a pilot, just most people suck at driving the Locust. Oh have any of you mastered a locust?

Not to be callous here, but there are very few things that don't kill Lolcusts. It's a very very very fragile mech that just doesn't have much of a place in MWO's current state, due to certain design choices PGI made that I won't go into right now.

"Emergency! There is a weapon that counters the speed shield on my otherwise invincible 20 ton light! I do not wish to make the sacrifice of using the in-game built-for-purpose counter to said weapon! It's totally screwed up that basically no other weapon can hit me but this one does! Also I dislike the tactic of using cover to avoid this weapon, and I am unable to make doing so workable! I deserve to be able to freely run around without any repercussions! None of you are good at piloting this mech, unlike me! Please refrain from disparaging anything that I am doing."

works for me, though I also known to run around lobbing LRM5s in a locust.... mostly for my own entertainment.

Yep. You're on your own on this one.

Its not my fault they cant aim fast enough. Have you ever driven a locust? 2.5 tone out of 20 tones at the very least for ams.

You can do the 1E with AMS without too much sacrifice. Light on AMS ammo though.
