^^ On that note, I think the clan`s blue propellants adequately depict the tears of the underhive, especially the way they stream out of the launcher :(

In the end the problem is there is a gulf between player skill levels within drops.

The problem is, if 9 out of 12 players don't have issues with LRMs, they might not load AMS.

Which leaves 3 players who do have LRM issues who might mount AMS. And unless those 3 guys are standing together, their single AMS is only helping some what.

If LRMs were really the issue people like to make them out to be, and EVERYONE had AMS, LRMs would disappear from the battlefield.

My daughter is 16 and she said that the game looks cool. She never plays this kind of games.

So your complaining that your sixteen year old daughter was able to get kills in the game using LRMs, and yet you're complaining about it.

Also I can't be the only one who runs around in a Kit Fox with 3 AMS and tons of ammo.

which goes back to the whole team concept that many seem to just not understand


See... so many times I'm running around in a Light mech and I'll have an angle where I can spot a mech that the rest of the team has no LoS to. They will think they are "in cover" but I'll lock them and try and keep that lock going. I won't fire my weapons or let myself be seen but instead I'll try and hold that lock till missiles come streaming in and kill it. I often get no reward at all for this unless it contributes to a win instead of a loss, but I'll do it because it does allow my team to either significantly weaken or kill one mech without exposing anyone else to return fire.

Heck, in a fast light with ECM I've even ran around in a big open area taking laser grazes and dodging AC/PPC blasts while holding that precious lock for the LRM mechs.

The counter to LRMs is a working Gauss Rifle* (*see MW4).

Or, working PPCs* (*see Gauss+PPC meta still going!!!??? I can't believe PGI, blah,blah, blah....)

Basically, this is what most forum-posting players wanted in MWO. Very weak LRMs with no direct fire long-range counters. That's what you have. Not so good, eh?

It sure is nice when your team is narcing and tagging for you... when they arent, your up sht creek.

The LRM design in this game has a very low skill curve to use. They should have made them like MW4 lrms. All skill.

What do you think was your daughters ELO? :( Let her play a month, than we talk again.
Btw: if LRMs don't need any skill why are there so many bad LRM players (I mean the I-fire-at-first-sign-of-a-red-triangle-crowd)?

After looking through this thread, I found about one constructive post per page of 20.

Is there really a need to attack (as there wasn't really a debate) each others opinion over what or what is not overpowered in a game?
