The Nova was set to around 17M instead of the ~26M.
Spider was set to ~45M IIRC with 12 JJs, down from 70.
Though, the numbers have likely changed since then. I hope.

12 JJ. 45 Meters. Leg breaking damage. You didn't nerf a mech. You nerfed fun.

All in all the changes feel very minimal to me.

There is like no initial height anymore but you are literally burning like crazy just to go up like a harrier jet now.....
Edit:
Nova 5x: 31.6m
Summoner 5x: 22.6m
Kitfox 2x: 17.3m
Timberwolf 2x: 8.4m
(Just by going on the in game stat values) - I've only tested TBR/Kitfox and they more or less glide up stuff.

noooooo! say it aint so! So I cant launch myself into orbit and play a human UAV anymore?
that makes me sad
According to Smufy, it's been buffed to over 100M!
70 to 104.06M.
So, PTS numbers were changed a fair bit, over double that max height.

PGI is hilarious like that. Instead of enriching gameplay--they nerf stuff. This is all they have ever done. Nerfs here, convoluted systems there. They are the antithesis of the K.I.S.S. principle.
They could have done plenty of things... starting with completely removing terrain movement penalties on 'mechs that have no jump jets.
Want to snipe? Fine. But be prepared for the swarm to overtake you faster than you can land and cool off. That hill might stop firepower... but it won't stop the horde!
But that'd be too easy. It'd make too much sense. It would... work.
Nope. Pull out the nerf bat, folks! Gotta beat this hobo into the ground so he can't get back up! There, took his pillow away! All he's gonna get is cold, hard concrete to lay on now.

Sounds like it.
I have always maxed or near maxed the JJs out on all my mechs and even then I have felt the current jump heights very restrictive. Keep in mind, that per TT rules, mechs are suppose to be able to jump something like 3 times their height.
If they are making it so that a 5 JJ Quickdraw now jumps like a 1-2 JJ Quickdraw did before, then yeah us JJ users got screwed yet again.

Not sure I see that.
assuming linear use of JJ fuel, I usually need ~20% of my fuel to get under 30m/s.
so that would give the follow (assuming smurfy is correct)
Jenner 5JJ (29.6m) (37m max to bingo fuel)
spider 8JJ (55.5m) (69m max)
BJ 4JJ (22.5m) (28m max)
3D 4JJ (14.4) (18m max)
TW 4JJ (13.4) (16.88m max)
DS 4JJ (19.1) (23.91m max)
733 4 JJ (21.1) (26.4 max)
NOTE: The DS and 733 cost 8 tons where the TW and 3D only costs 4

I thought this as well, but it is not built into smurfy and I dont have access to the game at the moment.
