Building on the MP3 player idea:

• Allowing us to actually have a folder with MP3 files that can play in-game
  
• Displaying the actual song titles in the in-game cockpit's MP3 player console
  
• Showing a cool little graphic equalizer for the currently playing song, sort of like this one, but more simplified and more mechwarrior-y:

• MP3 Player (from our own music folder with volume and skip etc, maybe a couple of selectable playlists, simple spectrum display?)
  
• Killcount on the outside of the mech, keep it simple
  
• Custom mech paint, but subtle
  
• Cracked windscreen with damage to cockpit
  
• Web cam link on chat, low res hud display (was is mercs that had the other mechs on "live" video), cool if it was real voice / vid chat, at least when NBN gets rolled out.
  
• Custom HUD colours
  
• Custom HUD layouts, can design a couple of layouts for different game phases and toggle between them live
