No offense OP but you're swimming upstream on this one... It''s common weapon exchange doctrine to toso-rotate and "soak" damage that would otherwise converge on a single section. Arms are the first-line of absorption and then the side torsos, which coincidentally once destroyed, pass damage to the center torso at a reduced rate.
That is, so long as your not sporting a IS XL engine...

That's a pretty big "if" though, and one that doesn't look like it's going to happen any time soon (or ever).
As for the OP:

Also, we need to buff bottom armour. Too many people are blowing up 'Mechs by hiding underneath them. I won't even start on top armour.
Like honey badgers they are, go for the junk. Stupid junk killing commandos.
Well, in preparation of K-Town:

OMG.... an essential skill... A gimic that arose due to broken game mechanics and very bad weapon balancing.
Torso twisting is a joke. It works in a 1-1 situation and can give you an edge... vs. noobs. so please save us the l337 speech.
Team work catches targets in a cross fire and completely nullifies torso twisting. Work together and you will crush the opposition.
Team work is OP nerf that.....

give to each mech a bag of fluffy marshmallows and a plastic bendy spoon with which to flick them the only module available shall be the closing of one eye for targeting and it shall be expensive and OP....
That sounds an awful lot like mortars...yes please?

Sorry. You're right! MAN! An epiphany! WOW! Dude!
So when the serial killer is working you over with a bowie knife, trying to fillet your abdomen open, you aren't supposed to resist! That's an exploit! I've been wrong all along. You're supposed to lie there and take it peacefully, like some sort of gift. Like, "Hey man, thanks for ripping my entrails out, can I have another? Oh, haha. That tickles! I love it when you use the tip like that! Teee hee hee. Okay, okay! The serrated edge is better. Oh, can you do a Cuban knecktie while you are at it? Thanks!"
ggclose Don't resist folks. It is an exploit.

Hmmm jeee think that has something with it being a smaller silhouette/ surface area to hit. If you want to do the whole face, shoot, and pray like it's the American Revolution then maybe this isn't the game for you.
