I like locking my arms with the shift key by holding it then releasing it to unlock them, Now i have to press it twice..

Remember when you removed "fire selected weapon group" ?

If you Change an option LEAVE IT IN THE GAME FOR PEOPLE TO USE.

Toggle Arm Lock

Hold Arm Lock

This is when people start saying they will uninstall, however it would be nice to keep the old functionality when adding something new.

This was the first thing I thought when reading all the patch notes. As someone who mainly pilots lights this is just something else to have to worry about now. As someone with terrible eye sight i rely on keeping my arms locked untill i get into close combat where I hold the shift key otherwise its almost impossible for my crappy eyes to keep up with that little circle running around at mach 7 on my screen.

Giving people options is never wrong.

I hate to have only the on/off toggle.

Let people drive their Mechs how they want.

When people asked for a toggle OPTION they were saying they wanted it as an OPTION in addition to the existing functionality - not REMOVE EXISTING FUNCTIONALITY.

Please reinstate the option for hold to lock / unlock.

Edit - toned it down a bit

Personally, I like the change and feel this is the way that Arm Lock should have been from the beginning (TAG should be a toggle too, for that matter). Despite that, removing previously existing features punishes your existing players and there should really be an option to select *WHICH* type arm lock to use (A la the "set speed" vs "gas pedal" option for the throttle).

Please give us the old option to use as well as the new option. I tend to use it more to quickly align my weapons for a snap shot, and this way just adds an extra step.

My Fire Control script now supports changing Arm Lock from a Toggle to a Momentary (The opposite of what it used to do).

TAG should be a toggle too

Fire Control also does this.

Love the new toggle, but having an option to do both should be easy.

i have armlock bound to a thumb mouse button so its no hinderance to hold it. Having it be toggle throws of the fluidity of my gameplay.

I like the new toggle, it works for me, but I assume it shouldn't take much to add back the old way so that players can choose for themselves between the new way and old way.

Wait I'm POSITIVE I saw that as a key-binding option last I checked. 1 sec.

Edit: I was right. It's right there in the key-bindings. Fire Selected Weapon Group is right above the numbered options. Default is nothing, but hey, it's there. Now if we can just get this as a option too.
