Quick thing about the jagermech. you can verify this on testing grounds ( i recomend crimson straight. turn left after the the victor) if you blow off either arm, and shoot at the little circle where the arm was physically attached to the torso, you will hit the opposing arm, and later torso. works on both sides.

Note: best tried with machine guns, as you will have a much higher chance of noticing the spread. do it at extreme close range to make sure that you arent doing spread with machine guns.

I'll be quick to volunteer to help with Wave 3 localization once they drop. These are extremely helpful, so I'd like to help myself.

*looks at Vindicator hitboxes*

You disappoint me PGI...

Forget Wave 3. We still need the Resistance mechs, as well as the Urbanmech and updates to Cataphract.

Huh, confirmed. Seems to be the upper-front quadrent of the "arm attach circle" is where damage is passed all the way thru the mech to the other arm. However, I will not update the hitbox image of the JM6, as this is just a modeling strangeness, and I don't see it being used in combat.

PGI pushed the "Zeus for MC" date to May 19th, so you will see all four Resistance mechs at that time, as well as updates to the CTF and WHK (if needed). The Urbie will wait until it is available for MC as well.

Thanks for the offer, QC. I can assure you, I own all the mechs. As I say in the OP, mechs are posted only after they are available for MC. It originally was after availble for CBills. My thought is that since PGI has not released these mechs to the general public, neither should I release any hitbox information.

Maybe this will be moot with UI 2.1, who knows?

I would like to express my thanks for this thread. I finally got myself a dual gauss jager and i told myself, i will go for headshots.

I was amazed when I headshot 3 mechs in a row in River city. Multiple more enemies found their cockpit red. The 15mins spent memorizing all the cockpit positions for the common mechs paid off handsomely. My unitmates were in awe, as was I. It was a fun night.

I would like to ask that more people please reduce your head armor. You dont need head armor!

Added Panther, Enforcer, Grasshopper and Zeus.

Updated Cataphract - rear CT expanded to the sides, so rear is more like front
Updated Warhawk - cockpit was in wrong window

I suspect the Cauldron Born has a huge CT hitbox like the Catapult.

...Which is contrary to the backstory of why the IS forces nicknamed it "Cauldron Born".
The Invading Clans sourcebook says "First seen during the Battle of Luthien, the ability of this omnimech to take damage and remain operational earned it the name Cauldron-Born, after the unstoppable zombies of Irish myth."

The way I'm getting cored out every match is a far cry from being unstoppable.

I actually think the CT hitbox isn't that big. The problem is that it protrudes past the STs, kinda like the Catapult. Bear in mind, this is from my observation killing them. Then again, I'm really good at hitting center mass on a mech, and with a 94 damage PP alpha, there really isn't much that can be done by a CB to avoid destruction if they decide to stare me down for 1.5 seconds.

EDIT: If they do a hitbox rework on it, maybe it can get the Raven treatment. The ST hitbox on those really shields the CT. Especially the old Raven Hitboxes.

As stated in the original post, new mech hit box mappings are posted when the mechs are available for MC. But after reading the 16-Jun patch notes I'll try to re-map the Jenner and Spider soon.

With those side torsos, why would you put an XL engine in a Griffin? And you'd think the Cataphract would be better suited for XLs than it is. [/color]

I laugh at anyone who says the Griffin XLs like a champ. Just like the Victor... It's almost worse, because it doesn't have the griffin's big shield arms. There is so much misinformation floating around these forums.

Anyway, I eagerly look forward to the Executioner and Ebon Jag hitboxes! The Cheeto and SCat will be interesting as well. If anyone needs a pincushion to test the hitboxes out on, I'm happy to help. I have all 4 and active premium time.

The Griffin is at least very agile, and fast, so it can XL, much better than a Victor.
