Locusts, Hunchbacks, Dragons - all of them die fairy easy.
Orions and Awesomes are quite bad too - in terms how easy they die and how often people focus-fire them.

Spider 5v, only 2 energy hard points in the CT

The mechs that caused me the most trouble, past/present.
Locust
Trebuchet
Kintaro (thanks to Streak nerfs)
Dragon (big fat gauss arm goes boom)
Quickdraw (should be called the QuickLeg, was crap before, and now just straight garbage since JJ nerf)
Catapult
Orion (only terrible if you dare XL)
Highlander (after massive JJ nerfs)

Cicada 3C is like a spider 5K that is slower, has a way bigger hitbox, and is really hit hard by the lack of a ballistic weapon in 1-4 ton range. Dragon's CT is roughly the size of a stalker. Atlases are actually pretty horrible on most maps, due to foot level hardpoints, slowness and hugeness. Consider that the innersphere's biggest brawler is most often seen boating LRMs. It's still a great mech for tanking 500 damage while your team attacks, but it gets poor damage and few assists.

lights: locusts
mediums: cicada (except the great 3M)
heavies: dragon, thunderbolt, orion,
assaults: awesome (although it now got buffed but i think its still the worst assault)

Back in the days before the clan invasion I had(and I still have) a Cata-3D with 4 meds and AC20. I lost the count of the locusts I either one-shoted or I one-shoted a legg off.
No matter how fast it is a player with a decent(mind you - not perfect or even really good) would be able to aim enough shots in a short amount of time to critically damage a locust if not disable it.
The only advantage a locust can have is to not be spotted - but there are plenty of mechs you can do that in.

The hunchies - with their legendary T-REX torsos - my favorite target behind the AWESOMEs - a player with a little knowledge can and will disable 80+% of a hunchie(50% in the standart SP build) firepower in less than 3 alphas.
Dragons are fast, carry an XL(ordinary) and at least I find em somewhat really easy to aim at and hit. That combined with the XL mentioned makes them dead meat or me.
Trebuchetes - riiiiight - I very, very rarely see those(you should really wonder why...) - but the're somewhat as the hunchies - giant torsos, somewhat easy to hit where you desire - not a big treat because of it.
Aside of those I think any other mech can put up a somewhat competitive build(even the Quickdraws and the kintaros... well... sort of

EDIT: Oh yea - forgot to mention this:
The cicada - any variant aside from the one with the ECM seems somewhat not very competitive...
And the Orion - I really wanted to like the mech, but when piloting it I felt all the time that it just lacked speed and thus I felt really vulnerable - I was using it for brawling of course, but hey - it's a friggin 75 ton mech - it MUST be able to be a decent brawler...
The Thunderbolts seems useless at first glance - but I built up a 2xPPC 3xMed Pulse L Special Edition Thunderbolt and I was really surprised that it was doing waaay better than my expectations...
You can put some ACs on it, some lasers, PPCs - you can make it work as long as you don't go I-RAMBO style - it's not the most competitive thing on the planet but it does it's things not so bad.
Aside from the SE - I had difficulties liking the other Thunderbolts though - I admit that - even I had lots of matches with good score it just didn't felt like it was the right mech for me.

2. ANY mech piloted by someone that can't figure out how to unzoom, so stumbles about the map walking into everything and shooting his teammates in the back.
3. ANY mech wandering about in third person because the pilot didn't bother to go through the new player's tutorial (even though it's generally worthless).
4. ANY mech that's...well...piloted by a new player in the solo queue, expecting to be carried by veteran players.

-Spider 5V is great with a large pulse (play it as a hit and run sniper).
-Hunchbacks are far from bad and have great torso twist. (Stop trying to play it like it has heavy or assault armor)
-Thunderbolts can rock if you aren't an alpha junkie.
-Summoner is the best hit and run mech in the game.
Worst - Adder (slow, limited hard points, mandatory flamer and best build is still at best a 3 out of 5 star mech) Most mechs can at least have 1 build that is 4 or 5 out of 5 stars but this mech doesn't.
Honestly, it all depends on how you play on what the worst mech in the game will be.

Well you can put any config on the hunchback you wish and 1v1 with my brawler timbie, so we would count how many shots I need to destroy your right side torso, while you'll be trying to get the most damage on me deal?
If you start arguing about the fact, that we'll be different weight classes and etc. - I'll warmly remind of the numbers of that mech you see in the current matches.
Also - pick a heavy and try going against my Shadowhawk, and if you pick a TBR, lets make a second game, where you can pick a different type of heavy mech and see how it goes.
Then we can compare which one is which

LoL your TBR should beat a HBK. Heavy vs. Medium 1v1 means heavy should win if the pilot doesn't suck. I beat TBRs all the time with my Summoner builds so it depends on your play style. (Medium vs Heavy is a big difference from Heavy vs Assault)
If you read my post, which it sounds like you skimmed, I was pointing out these mechs were not the worst. I NEVER said the HBK is the best mech.
Torso twist + my play style = good luck on 1 shotting the Hunchbacks rt.
