I really suggest putting more faith in modders and what they are capable of. In the Elder Scrolls games, the community made content is almost always better and even has more features than the company produced games.

I do that's how I roll my Total Warfare, and Elder Scrolls, Arma, and Jagged Alliance...

But MW is too precious to me. Mechs and weaps didn't feel "quite" right, was waiting for it to get picked up like Counterstrike by Valve and "hit the big time" and really get some money and take off. I mean I got the mod as soon as I heard, checked back every few months, but was really waiting for it to get picked up.

Then it did, and I get this. Mechs move right... so... there's that...

Maps are the #1 most difficult thing to balance around. I'm not surprised PGI is terrified of making more when they can't fix the issues with the current ones like getting stuck floating in air, falling through the world, invisible barriers, impassable objects, etc...

I've come to the conclusion that constructive feedback is pointless. That's become apparent with the latest nerf hammer

well it will be at least 8 months since the last even if one comes out this month, and there is no mention of that...so at the very minimum next month which will end up being 3/4 of a year between maps.

This is one thread I agree with. Can't believe the lack of maps. Most of the other threads are just complaints their OP'd weapons go nerfed. Good riddance.

I can't believe they're going through with the ppc nerf. Just learned of that last night. Saw their thread a few weeks ago maybe proposing two possible changes. People were leaning towards the DO NOT NERF PPC solution in the responses to the thread. But nope, you're right. Constructive feedback is useless.

56 pages of "This is bad, here are viable alternatives" completely ignored. This forum is a joke for "feedback".

Seriously PGI, put me on staff. I've been designing structures that people actually live in and use daily for over a decade now, and I have yet to have any feedback concerning clients running into invisible walls. No one gets their feet hung on terrain as they go from one space to another. I'm betting that if I can do this for real structures, the same basic thought processes would make for playable maps, even if the environmental elements resemble snow, jungles, cliffs, spaceports.... whatever. It's all about flow of movement through the 'structure'. You have my account details, and I'm home all next week. 100K per year, and a map per month.

One condition though, I'm not moving to Canada. I already live in WI and it's cold enough.

The problem is that they asked for feedback on one thing, and then went ahead and completely over-nerfed another thing. There was no indication anywhere that they were considering the ERLL for an over-nerf.

AFTER that, they then proceeded to put the PPC right where it was almost 2 years ago, where no one used it at all.

Oh I know, that's exactly why I know what's going to happen. Paul's going to remove or drastically reduce CERLL nerf claiming to have done it because he "listened" to the community, then forget all about the PPC nerf in the name of "balance" all the while ignoring that now locked 56 pages of feedback
