Hey Niko - honestly if you want players to react more warmly to changes remind your dev team that you have a public test server to play around with settings like this with the communities help.

Who needs cERLL? Who needs Gauss/PC combo?
As soon as every weapon will be useless time for H2H-Combat will come!

I get warning pop ups when I try to combine Large Lasers of any kind together... ER or Pulse. So now a Clan Large Pulse Laser / Clan ER Large Laser combo will produce ghost heat as well? As far as the Clan ER Large Laser goes, the problem with them would be players boating 3+, not the 2 CERLL builds. Take a look around at the stock designs. Many of them run x2 of them. I didn't see that as a problem, and I'd be surprised if anyone was complaining about that configuration. You would have fixed the 'problem' without the ghost heat introduction.

You know. I wonder how long it will take for someone to post a screenie of a 2 CerLL mech self detonating in terra therma ring. Should happen in less than 2 minutes after the patch.

Whatever happened to "adapt and overcome" Clan-bros?

IS pilots were expected to adapt to an entirely new battlefield, somehow devise entirely new builds, strategies, play styles to stand a chance against the Clans. I distinctly remember being told "L2P"

One weapon gets nerfed and you all start crying for refunds, mass firings, heads on stakes. I'm laughing so much right now it actually really does hurt.

The Weapon Speed is Designer choice.

As for the ER-LL Item You suggested Changes would Hurt the Clan ER-LL a Lot in combat it self.
If I may suggest the Following for thought

C-LL, Heat: 10.5, Beam Time: 1.25, Cooldown 4.05.

The Above would aloud the same Beam Time DPS of 9 , and same over all DPS of 2.12, and HPS of both weapons would be 2.0. by the Same I mean between the Clan ER-LL & I.S. ER-L-Laser. The Clan mech has to take a Higher Heat at 1st as it big draw back.

Yet another fun round of nerf hammer. We cry, we complain, and then we just switch to a different weapon combo that will be nerfed in a couple of months. Sunrise, sunset.

Paul, if you think cERLLs are so incredibly OP that they need this massive nerfbat, I really don't know what to say to you.

You may have just nuked using cERLLs on light mechs, made Stormcrow Prime a lot harder to deal with, made Dire Wolf Prime a joke (where are we going to find 7 weapon groups to separate all the cERLLs to avoid GH?) ... sigh. I could carry on.

I don't mind the burn time increase all that much, by itself. It's the ghost heat making firing 2 cERLLs produce almost as much heat as twin ERPPC.

In what world is 2 cERLLs firing a huge problem? If the problem is the hexa or octo-ERLL Dire Wolf with macros to help avoid GH... oh, wait, they're not affected except by the beam duration.

Silly me for thinking the ERLL nerf actually affected the assaults boating lots of ERLL and oodles of heatsinks...

Looks interesting. I look 4ward to seeing how it all works out. Personally I think all the clan weapons need to put out more heat, but baby steps, right?

Stop the weapon nerfing to fix pin point damage, just acknowledge the pink elephant in the middle of the room and introduce Weapon Bloom.

Well I am perfectly fine with the PPC ideas and about time too

but the clan ERLL nerf of 2 gives you a heat spike it just completely wrong. Please dont make me lose more faith... beam time sure makes the weapon system require more skill and people have to think about other close range backup weapons but 1 max before ghost heat is just fail, why cant you just keep the current max of 2 and have 3 or more give even more heat than currently?

Read the OP. Think What the eff... Seemed to me that the majority of the feedback thread was against the PPC speed nerf since it nerfed PPCs for everyone and at least the mechanic targeted the "problem". But the CERLL on top of that?

This game needs an *****.

Seriously - these types of continued nerfs demonstrate the completely borked heat scale/damage mechanics this game has and exemplifies why it will never be balanced until every weapon is a slight variation of something else.

Paul - congratz on proving you don't play your own game and couldn't balance paper clips with a balance scale.

EDIT - well apparently colon cleansing is on the banned word list...

The 2 second CERLL, I am fine with..

but 1 Ghost heat, with a 12 scaler?

Fire 1 ERLL, some heat.
Fire 2 ERLL... 30 heat. (2 ERPPCs)

I have no words...

...

...

Replacing the ERLLs with ERPPCs.. might as well.
