The changes to the CERLL aren't that bad outside of the heat penalty change, but I think a slight (10-20%) damage boost to account for the 33% increase in beam duration and added heat would be better. The heat penalty multiplier from 3 to 12 is also a good change as it makes the heat penalty a hard cap instead of a soft cap and no more 8 LL direwolves. The single worst decisions I have ever seen in this game however, since ECm gained the invisibility cloak, is forcing CERLL to fire one at a time or invoke the wrath of hell upon its mech... This cannot go into gameplay or you basically just killed the warhawk and have no reason to keep it around. it's already crippled by having 21 fixed slots, 10 fixed tons of DHS (and no quirk to the 0 hardpoint LT that is completely filled with fixed DHS) a low number of energy hardpoints for a clan mech, and has the totally inferior FF instead of endosteel (not a big deal but worth mentioning)

Oh wow more useless and poorly though out nerfs TL:DR the ppc/gauss but the ERLL nerf is another clueless nerf from Paul.

Uninstalling time is nigh - maybe I'll break out the Small Lasers and if I fire them often enough maybe Paul will nerf it too!

Do not spend any more money on this game please - just let it go off to the sunset quietly courtesy of Paul.

Clan ERLL is very long range - well DOH it is meant to be VERY long range.

My $1,000 bet next is the Timberwolf - by the time the rest of the Clan mechs come out for c-bills they'll be just a bit more useful than the locust - ggclose Paul keep up the (good) work!!! :(

Guys, we totally need to stop asking for PPC nerfs. Apparently the only way they will mess with it is if they can destroy another weapon with it.

I'm glad you went with the slower PPC velocity...but would like to see a slight heat decrease to really make it "fun" to use.

As for cERLL..wow..the ghost heat penalty was INSANELY unwarranted. I don't mind increased burn time...but WOW.

How does it logically even make sense to propose a heat penalty on firing more than 1 Clan ER LL.

Superior mech with superior weapons that has now been limited to firing 1 x Large Laser?

Great, nerf PPC's (which aren't great weapons to begin with because of the high heat) because they sync up well with good weapons.
I guess i can stop playing my K2 now. Lights will be a complete PITA to hit at such a low speed.

Also, CERLL ghost heat at 2? Is that a joke?

It was so OP that they needed to quadruple the ghost heat penalty incase you dare to fire two.

PPC speed nerf - ok, I accept that you want to experiment with tweaking the speed of the charged particle blast that is supposed to resemble a lightning. But the drastic reduction from 1500m/s to 850-950m/s is extreme. The last time you guys did something this stupid was with LRM speed increases. I REALLY don't understand why you guys are always making such heavy handed changes.

C-ERLL changes - really?!?! you want to change multiple variables at once again? You guys didn't learn anything from the previous attempt at solving a problem with multiple variable changes?

Do you guys realize that you're experimenting around in a live environment without proper testing right?
Make the effing changes in a public test environment and seek feedback instead of mucking around and experimenting against paying customers who don't want to be used as test gerbils.

Un-effing-believable.

If anything, the awesome will likely be one of the few mechs that PPCs will still be perfectly viable for because of its ability to boat them.

Also, PPCs are not the only energy weapon.

The PPC change is okay I guess, but the again I already don't really use CERPPCs anymore, except on the Summoner which has so few hardpoints I need to put the biggest guns to justify running a Heavy.

The CERLL change is way overboard. Just up the heat or down the range (always found it weird how the CERLL shoots further than CERPPC), but leave the ghost heat alone. No one will expose themselves for 2 full seconds, unable to torso twist, while keeping a steady aim, just to do 11 damage.

When Clans first came out I was happy because for once, lasers were cool enough to go toe to toe with ballistics in extended firefights. Guess I'll pull out all my lasers on my timberwolf and go back to dual guass cheesing again...
