Well i rarely see the bad players. I remember some names from the forums (especially people who complain about LRM's) and i've seen these people much less than i've seen the higher ELO players.
Not that it really matters though. A bad player will have a low ELO score (unless carried by a team in group queues) and have trouble with LRM's. Good players don't.

LOL. LRMs overpowered. Not even close. If anything, LRMs need some re-work and a buff. Right now, they are absolutely useless unless playing a bunch of brain dead idiots.

oh just grow a pair and L2P.
I used to try to be nice and reasonable on these posts, but ...just..no.
Slow projectile speed
Multiple hard counters (ECM, AMS, Radar Deprivation Module, BLOODY BUILDINGS AND HILLS)
Require either teamwork, or being exposed for one HECK of a lot longer than direct fire weapons do, to ensure a hit.
If you are dying regularly to LRMs you need to pick up your steering wheel and make way to the nearest entrance to the Underhive because it means you are BAD AND SHOULD FEEL BAD.
Graugger, on 10 August 2014 - 06:54 PM, said:
Is the OP joking, LRMs need a bally buff being the slowest projectiles in game!
IraqiWalker, on 10 August 2014 - 11:54 PM, said:
I'm sorry, but LRMs are way too slow. Slowest projectile in the game, and the easiest not only to dodge, but to shut down. It's the single easiest weapon system to counter. What baffles me is the many people that complain about LRMs while saying they are brawlers. If you are a brawler than you should know for a fact that LRMs have a minimum range of 180Ms. Rush them and stay under it, making that mech useless.
If my assault mech going 60Kph can make it, your optimized brawler should be easily capable of doing that.
Wolfways, on 11 August 2014 - 01:51 AM, said:
They are not impossible to dodge (not that you should be able to).
Also, PPC's do practically 0 damage at 1km, and anyone who gets hit by LRM's fired from 1km away had help to turn their PC on.

You already said it yourself. The skills required to use LRMs involve the same skills required to be good at this game: positioning, maneuvering, teamwork, situational awareness. Those are more difficult than shooting at pixels.

"dear PGI, please make it impossible for the enemy team to shoot me with their slowest moving and least reliable weapon, because I am bad and like to camp in the open in full view of the entire enemy team..."

I completely disagree with nerfing the lrms. You can use cover, you can use ECM and you can even kill the Missile or the Spotter/Narcer. Yes that's possible

So pls don't shout nerf this and that, just because you get killed by this weapon. First you should rethink your playstyle and what you can do for not getting killed by lrms.
Gas Guzzler, on 12 August 2014 - 01:28 AM, said:
Gosh I can't believe how many "nerf LRMs" threads there are. Sure they are annoying but they aren't OP, all it takes is a bit of teamwork to overpower them.
Revener, on 12 August 2014 - 01:00 PM, said:
Actually as soon as you find out that they have alot of lrm boats. all you need to do is rush them, they will suck up close. The problem is to get a PuG group to actually do that insteads of hiding in covver and then die 1 by 1 .

When I get hit by 100 LRMs I know that I screwed up is the most likely cause.
King Arthur IV, on 12 August 2014 - 01:42 PM, said:
are you serious?! LRMs are next to useless. the only way they kill you or hurt you is if you let them pummel you for like 15 min straight.
they take along time to do any significant damage, more then enough time for anyone to find a nice path towards the LRM boat and pwn them at close range.
the only reason why anyone thinks they are strong is because they are too chicken @#$% to move out of cover and take a few ****** to their face.
be a man and rush the LRM boats in the start of the match and not the end when you have been whittled down.

Actually the people that cry nerf LRMs are in the minority and/or are newer players....
Kjudoon, on 13 August 2014 - 03:27 PM, said:
That can be said about any pilot. You only get hit because you were stupid enough to move from behind cover. Now mind you I'm being sadly blunt on this, and movement is part of the game, just as much as using cover is.
The problem is lazy players don't want to use tactics or strategy. They want a short walk in pretty scenery to the battlefield where nobody has cover and they can slug it out and the mech with the thickest armor or biggest alpha wins. Some people also believe this is how Battletech was always played and should be played again. It's one part of the TT experience that will never make it into a real time action game like this because it's not turn based.
ENS Puskin, on 13 August 2014 - 07:46 PM, said:
Exactly! Some players are stupid enough so they strip AMS and the result is pretty bad.
Wolfways, on 13 August 2014 - 10:03 PM, said:
lol yeah of course. That must be why i always see opponents who know how to use terrain well enough to avoid LRM's, while i very rarely see those who complain about LRM's.
Yokaiko, on 14 August 2014 - 07:32 AM, said:
My god you must be a bad.
LRMs aren't even close to overpowered, they are basically crap and require your target to be either bad or otherwise occupied to hit at all.
TOGSolid, on 14 August 2014 - 10:12 PM, said:
Yup. You can die to LRMs and it's not that huge of a deal. **** happens and we all make mistakes. If you die repeatedly to LRMs and/or cry about it then sorry, but you're just bad.
+1 to all the quoted post.
I have been playing MWO since 2012, and almost all of my death is caused from direct fire weapons.
Its far harder to avoid lasers, ACs, etc, when they are staring in your face.
The only time I remember dying from LRM is when I (a Heavy mech at 60% armor) charge straight to a Mech carrying 45-60 LRM in an open terrain from 700M away. What an idiotic way to die.
