JR7-D, and focused on running down and exploiting the mistakes of people over-extending in a desperate frenzy to get kills.

A mix, Lurm boat BLR-1S, CTF-3D, Wolverine, Griffins but most half the kills came from my SRM Kintaro 18

Locusts only, of course.

LCT-1E: 6x small pulse, XL 190, 10 DHS. I got my first five kills in solo queue with this variant. It ran super hot, leading to a loss against a Jenner, and has since been moved over to a much cooler 2x medium + 4x small arrangement with 12 DHS.

LCT-1V: 4x machine guns, 1x medium pulse, XL 190, 10 SHS. My next four kills were earned with this variant; this is definitely a kill-securing machine, though I did get into a couple light duels with it.

LCT-3S: 4x SRM2, 1x small laser, 2.5 tons of ammo, XL 180, 10 DHS. I earned the remaining kills using this variant. High-output DPS meant it was easy to wreck any given target from behind, and even from the front if the armor is thin or down.

Got a few kills in my BLR-1S, but found that tagging and firing my LRMs directly just meant I got to tank for the other LRM boats. Did five kills in my Cataphract 3D
Did the last 8 kills in my JM6-S with AC10x2 and 4xMlas.

Did the other kills in a variety of firestarters, thunderbolts, and other mechs I'd been thinking of selling.

I found this challenge to be quite frustrating. Took me about 12 matches to get to 8 kills, and then I said screw it and quit trying to play like my teammates or a match win mattered. I started to do what the other players were doing, using my teammates as shields, and refusing to expose myself to trade shots with anyone who wasn't about to die. Had a four kill match in my 3D and JM-6S doing that, which was almost half the total needed just from two matches.

The moral lesson from this challenge was that your teammates only exist to eat shots and leave enemy mechs with cherry red CT for you to finish off.

None, because a free mechbay is not enough to get me out of my TW.
I don't like the fact that i didn't get the challenge, but well... i won't gimp myself for a free mechbay. I'm playing this game for fun, after all.

Well. I was in the busy of grinding the blackjacks, and i didn't feel like buying a steiner mech (though I did later when I found out they were on c-bill sale too). So that means I had to use one of the trials. Used the Orion for a couple matches because I stopped because it feels like a friggin Assault. I didn't bother with the Victor or cataphract because I've mastered my cataphracts and I just don't like them that much. And my computer isn't good enough to be able have fast enough FPS for lights.
So I ended up using the Shadow. first 2-3 matches I didn't get any kills because I was being a herp-a-derp, and being too distracted by "OMG why does a medium move so slowly!?!??!". After those first few matches I easily got at least 2 kills each round. It was much easier than most builds I make (I make builds for fun, not for the meta). If I actually tried really hard I probably could have gotten more.

I have no issue switching to my little JR7-D(S), especially when I don't have any of clan mechs  And I got used to lights for those loooong past two years. So, there was not a single problem to get reward within 9 matches. Last one I had to kill 1, but got 5... OVERKILLL!!!

I wish I drove my Jenner D that well, do you use the SRM 4 x2 build? and can you fit JJ?

I used a cicada 2A with 6 medium lasers. Probably took about 20 games.
