Bwuh? What builds are you using? I've had some pretty good experiences with them. (But then again, I don't particularly care for the Timber Wolf, so maybe I'm playing a different game).

I know. With PGI swinging the nerf bat so much plus some of their other questionable decisions, my rule of thumb now is to keep everything on the down low or as much as I can. The first rule of MWO is don't talk about anything in MWO (that is if you don't want it nerfed, removed or otherwise acted on in a fashion that is bound to piss you off).

thats not fair, people paid alot of real money for exclusive packages... and now.... due to a single mistake... the uniqueness is gone NOW FOR EVER

I didn't buy my clan pack for the Summoner, anyway, I realised almost right away it was going to be a pretty bad heavy and I wasn't wrong. Compared to the Timber Wolf anyway, it's just bad.

... Admittedly, comparing anything to the Timber Wolf gets a similar response from most people.

PGI might've lost a few bucks there but most likely, not really. It was available only for a few minutes and I doubt most people who bought them for c-bills would've done so for MCs.

Some people are just mad they aren't TW clones. But how many TW builds can mount dual AMS? Oh that's right, none. And yet we've got all these people complaining about LRMs. Amazing.

Dual AMS definitely makes up for where it's lacking everywhere else.

No, but it surely doesn't help.

The matter of the fact is, the Summoner doesn't have good hard points, has FF instead of Endo, has fixed JJ's and doesn't come with maxed armor. You have all of... I think 21 tons? Once you max armor.

The Timberwolf, on the other hand, isn't stuck with jumpjets (optional with S variant), comes with maxed armor, has better hardpoints, has both endo and ferro... and has 27.5t pod-space.

Summoner just can't compete.

Sure, the Summoner can dual-wield AMS, the Timber can't... but that's a marginal advantage.

The Summoner needs quirk buffs to make up the difference.
