Seriously. What the ****. The past two months or so myself and most that I play with have started experiencing frequent, game ruining server lag (all mechs running in place and/or cannot zoom in or out/fire weapons). It happens at least a few times per night, sometimes every match. Sometimes for just 10 seconds. Sometimes for 2 minutes or until you disconnect. Hell, just now it happened. I waited a minute and then disconnected and rejoined, I had lost all of my weapons on the paper doll...but could still fire them all...

It is getting really ******* annoying. Has PGI said anything about why this is occurring??

Not that I am aware. But yeah, it's been pretty bad. IDK if the fixes Russ was talking about for Tuesday cover it or not.

Net quality on this game is rolling back to pre HSR seriously. It only benefits those with less than 100ms but punish everyone out of canadian and USA territory. 150ms is the common ping outside North America and gives you enought speed to play effectively every online game out there...but HERE....jeshh you can't even land a shoot without losing half his damage or doing none on a !"#$ timberwolf or Stormcrow.

Does seem seriously compromised. HAs periodically been an issue for over a year, but is it just me, or since reconnecting has been added, has the number of discos like...tripled?

We need fixes. So far, the desynchs aren't as bad as they were before the last round of fixes, but there are micro lags and teleporting DireWolves all over the place.

Teleporting DireWolves... I think we should have utterly mad weekends with those sorts of modules implemented, like WarThunder and their pony planes.

My ping is a solid 40-60 and it is getting vastly worse for me too...

Make sure when you find yourself lagged out that you exit the match immediately and then hit rejoin. It will get you back in the fight much quicker than just sitting there waiting.

Agreed! I had 3 de-synch's today. One lasted for 5-6 seconds and the other two literally locked for minutes and I had to exit the game.. My ping is always in the 40-50 range. Its mind numbing!

Had a game last night were someone died and instantly went into general chat to sound off against the game killing lag. This happened right as I was rejoining a game.

I suspect lag spikes happen most often when someone rejoins a game.

Whenever I e-mail these jokers about the lag and desyncs in-game all i get is "get a better internet connection".

Nuff' said andzero - they don't really care - just focus on milking those who can still play on 100ms or less - remember, minimum infrastructure and support investment, maximise sales profit.

*switch on doom and gloom mode.

Because they aren't generating enough revenue so they're cutting down server cost?

I've seen other people make the same claim. If it's true the annoying thing is that when you get dropped by the server you have to log back in on the off chance you might still be alive after a minute of standing around.

Also, getting desynchs when trying to modify a mech's loadout is really quite frustrating.

Russ has a problem of putting out useful information on twitter that either isn't put out on the forums here, or is buried in the text of some minor announcement about something else.

No Russ, I'm not going to follow your twitter account.

If you care about this sort of stuff just skim through his "tweets and replies" tab once every couple of days like I do. It takes 30 seconds and then you wont miss out on anything. Sorry, but twitter is ideal and convenient for small updates like this. Forums are good for large and complex official posts.

People need to stop raging against the social media machine. Either adapt or be content with less information.

It is a shame that PGI cant use the Forums to let the player base know what is going on. It is probably too much to ask of a multimillion dollar company to do something like that.

Twice in the last 2 weeks have had battles that ended with bad desync going on... every teleporting around all over the place... so not a "game breaker" for me yet... but man when it happens, it's bad... LOL

Been seeing same issue and I typically have very low ping numbers. Everything freezes with mechs running in place, then **Bam** everyone jumps to where they must have moved to while the game froze. Also seen more games with stutter movement but good frame rate were mechs jump 20-30 meters forward at a time without moving smoothly through space- particularly noticeable with the fast lights. This issue seems to have jumped up in the last few weeks quite a bit, was rare until early Aug.
