maturity has nothing to do with age and it doesn't make ones arguments better.

That's something the self entitled kids trapped in the bodies of the 30-50 year olds posting on this forum don't understand.

especially the ones you specifically mentioned.

I agree, but I am not self entitled. Nor do i think I am 30-50 because my 60 year old grandmother and aunt have no clue what I am talking about when it comes to certain things.

All i am saying is you don't need anything fancy to learn how to program. you don't even need to program anything to understand the concepts.

Anybody can learn how to do it, and it is not hard to learn. When It comes to computer science which is mostly algorithm. That can vary.

TBH, I wanted to minor in it. Then again, I realized that most people talk about philosophy in a more idealized context.... instead of a more "practical" context.

I don't mind letting the imagination wander though... it's easier w/o constraints.

You want to hear a Major Philosophical conundrum?

Computer Science is a cool field, I am actually surprised that some many people are actually into it.

I know what you mean. We all have ideals and we try to project them all the time. Actually people use philosophy all the time. It is the most common practical tool(if i can say) in our everyday lives.

It might be because... it's not as simple as you're making it out to be!

So much stuff could be improved in a "duh moment"... let alone bug fixes. It almost always takes multiple iterations of the same thing to actually get it working optimally (either functionally or performance-wise). Rewriting code sucks, but it creates a better foundation ultimately. That's the only reason why I subscribed to the "idea" of UI 2.0, instead of what it actually ended up being (a better "store" that is still in many ways quite inferior).

I never said it was easy. No way is it easy. Nor did i make it out to be. When I said even a kid can do it, i was just implying that we all have the potential to learn programming.

I am not downplaying anyone I am just saying if you put the time and effort to learn it then that is all it takes.

please read my previous post. understand what I said about generational gap and experience.

Then notice that the only two people agreeing with either of you is each other.
think about that.

ok NOW I'm really putting you on my ignore list (to which your buddy Kilo has become a long-time member of). See what illustrious company you'll be keeping?
no, THIS time I really mean it!

It is obvious that pgi is a uncompetent, perhaps unexperienced developer. I wouldnt mind that if they wouldnt have promised a AAA Title game with all the advanced features to be added like cw 1 and a half year ago. They shouldnt have promise stuff which is beyond their Talent/Skill

And until now the game didnt change to much, its still bugged unpolished and with little content. For example especially the Ui2 which was allways called out as the Bottleneck is really bad made as a poster on the earlier pages meantioned and proofed with a video from a College Lesson.

The question is: Why did they have to spend their ressources for a few months to a Ui 2 which made the interface even worser than the Ui 1.5? (ye i know it looks better, makes some noises but at the end the interface is badly designed- aka click fest and unintiutive)

If you are spending your main ressources to a new feature for a few months then make it atleast be worth by making it better than the previous one.

Mwo feels like a product with an amazing looking package and a text promising you soo much stuff, but inside the package the product is pretty much low quality.

Dissapointment

His preferred summoner has a single LBX20 and an ER PPC. We called him out in game, and he said that we're 'not on his level.'

Just so people in here know what kind of person they're dealing with.

The summoner isn't a very good mech; that's why most people avoid it.

But if one understands the concepts of mech building I think the Er PPC LBX20 combo wouldn't exist.

I mean I hear ya, but My piloting tells me otherwise. Zellbrigen it would never work but on a team it runs fine. It works good in a duel but its rough. I like it because it doesn't not run hot and the damage output can be nice.

I don't build mechs like the average player, nor do I like to imitate others when building mechs, I like to run with what i know i feel comfortable with.

Most likely because people look at it and go oh its a summoner with a ppc and lbx 20.

This kit fox with 3 ERML and a UAC 5 is more dangerous let's shoot that.

Dissapointment

i don't think it's "incompetence", unless you mean in managing a project. I'm sure everyone at PGI is more than qualified in their respective areas, I just don't think any of them are very good at actually managing a company in its first solo venture with a complex game like MW in uncharted territory (for the franchise anyhow with the exception of the much beloved MPBT 3025) as an online game.

Great programmer =/= great company president...

yes, I bet it does, but that doesn't mean much if you can pilot worth of anything. My Timber wolf S, has way more firepower than my summonder.
