Seriously Blood, heat is a legacy feature. It's not going anywhere unless the Nerfinator goes somewhere. Now stop persisting and just accept that you didn't interpret Russ "correctly" the first time. It happens to all of us sometimes.

He doesn't say ghost heat, he clearly links the level 5 modules and the removal of the heat penalty of the module. The official name of ghost heat is 'Heat Scale'. They are not removing it, if he was talking about that he would have said 'and we are going to remove weapon heat scale'. The context of what he wrote is clearly in relation to the heat penalty of the modules.

At this point, you are overthinking what Russ is thinking (and that's a bad thing).

To be fair, it was the community that labeled it Ghost Heat, not PGI. I am not sure they refer to it as ghost heat at all.

I still think it's the heat penalty on the weapon modules and still peg the odds at 99% on that. However, there is that 1%...

Of course, this means, IF they actually are getting rid of ghost heat?... they have something else to slip in and do the same job, because there's no way in hell they're removing all limitations/penalties on alpha'ing with all weapons you want.

Yeah, but if you say Heat Scale i automatically think of the BT heat scale which PGI didn't include in MWO unfortunately.

Sure, the community did dub it as such... because it was essentially an "unexplainable occurrence".

Logical mechanics would produce logical results (like Homeless Bill's plan with an "energy bar" that limits the effectiveness of an alpha).

This is an abomination and needs cleansing from our systems... just drown it in holy water if you have to.

MWO's/Paul's "Heat Scale" should be the "official name", because that's what "it" is.

I learned in life its not good to make predictions, better to let it come when it comes. All I know is if they do get rid of heat penalties it is going to lead to some interesting new game-play.


Also the players of NGNGtv have spoken, I believe now that ghost heat and heat penalties are one in the same.

Ghost heat is a heat penalty after all. Anyways, I cant help but wonder what is the reason for doing so.

You don't need a printer. Prt Scr just takes a copy of whatever is on your screen.
