Happy to provide.

Wanna be as effective as a summoner for 2 thirds of the weight?

ST. IVES' BLUES

Wanna run around popping people with the equivalent of an AC 20 every 4 or so seconds?

ST. IVES' BLUES

Stick behind the big guys, and help them with your painful punch.

Brawly set up, and can be nasty in a close quarters fight.
ST. IVES' BLUES

P.S.: Remember that you need to adjust the armor values to fit your style.

I dropped my 2SRM6s for 2 SRM4s + Artemis and it seems much better. the 6s spread too much.

once I can build of some bills again (lots of big purchases lately) I'm going to try the 2LPL + 2 SRM4

So far all my deaths have been CT only and the LT/RT never seem to take a lot of damage. It seems like a fairly safe mech for XLs.

could also make a mobile LRM30 out of it.

The only workable build I've found for SIB so far is 2xPPC poptart. It seems to have a massive thrust boost when you have max jumpjets.

I've been using 2 PPC Blackjacks for ages (2 PPC 2 ML 2 MG baby K2) so I imagine anything the BJ could do the Vindicator can as well, with the exceptIon of lower arm actuators (no AC20s! But way more arm traverse)

my only complaint so far is this things ability to climb hills, it really can't.it seems to struggle on even the smallest of hill and I'm watching an Atlas scale a near vertical wall.

and the 2 LPL + 2 SRM4 isn't too bad except ofr the range.

I got the hero as it had the best hardpoints IMO. My first match I just did over 400 damage and 3 kills.....fun little mech! Currently running 1x ERPPC, 2 ML, 2 SRM6 and a 235XL (had a 235 and didn't want to pony up for a 245XL).

I'm planning on a similar setup, but with an XL250 engine and two SRM4 instead of the SRM6, and a regular PPC instead of the ER version. (might go with the ER if the heat is good, can't say before I've tried it out on the field.)

I've been using this since the beginning.

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...81523cc6a1cd9ac

Its not very creative and it leaves out the missile hardpoints completely but its been effective for me. The PPCs are on different triggers so it feels like dual wielding pistols. The TAG is on both groups that include a PPC but it also has its own trigger too. The TAG/NARC bonus is nice for points and with all the LRMs in-game its actually been handy.

Just a thought for a support mech. Escort-oriented.

VND-1X

Another 1X build, but oriented towards critical hits. Excellent bouncer for focus fire.

VND-1X

Fast AMS support mech with direct firepower. Good for potential ambushing.

VND-1AA

I don't know what to do with the 1R, though.

It's an honor and a privilege sir!

2xLRM10s with 2 MLs for late game. You need to fire 9 shots from each LRM 10 to burn the ton of ammo in your CT (Ammo consumption is CT->RT->LT->RA->LA->RL->LL->HD)

ST. IVES' BLUES

Modified the 2xERPPC build. The TAG is much better at detecting invisible walls, and such up to 750 Meters (you shouldn't use the 2xERPPC beyond that very often to be honest)

Case is useless on an XL engine mech. Use the half ton for JJs, ammo, or pretty much anything else (when R&R is brought back into the game, Case will be useful)

With redistributed ammunition so as to avoid horrendous ammo explosions.

XL240 (had it lying around, 250 is max for this variant)

LPL
MPL x2
SRM4 x2 (two tons ammo)
JJ: 4

It's been a really fun ride. The XL hasn't seemed to be a big liability so far...

i tried LRMing with it and using Narc+LRM and it didn't really seem to work very well.

still switching back and forth between
2LL+2SRM4s+artemis + ML
and
2LPL + 2SRM4s + ML

have to try a dual PPC even though it will be heat city.
