So.... Vindi Hero looks...underwhelming for IRL money, but all 4 variants are up for evaluation and building.

Shame the 1AA is going to dominate over the others

The 1-X might get some playtime with it's mini centurion like ballistic over missile.

Honestly it will come down to how STD friendly they are. Small ct hitbox where you can use STD engines then fantastic.

If it's another XL fest it will be boring.

AND WHY NO ECM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perfect mech to have it. Can hardly claim it's another OP ECM mech at those speeds!

Not really feeling this mech at all, but I've been wrong before.

VND-1AA

XL295, 2 LL, 2ML, SRM6, 2JJs. 36% heat efficiency.

VND-1AA

XL295, 4ML, ASRM6, 2JJs, 2AMS, 51% heat efficiency

VND-1R

STD235, 5ML, SRM6, 2JJs, 44% heat efficiency

VND-1X

XL235, AC10, 2ML, SRM4, 2JJs, 46% heat efficiency

ST IVES' Blues...

I don't even know. I guess it's supposed to be a poptart with the extra JJ? I don't know what to do with this mech.

1AA seems good.
1R and 1x heavily speed capped... let's see how small the torso is.

I still strongly believe that the Assassin is the mech IS needs

I'm not sure what to make of the 1X, outside of even trying 3 MGs on it. This is the biggest disappoint IMO.

The others, you can make some stuff out of it, but that is to be seen.

The 1AA might actually become one of my favorite mediums.
Decent jump capability, dual AMS, and DAT SPEED.

The 1R looks like it will be mostly redundant.
Slower, less jumpjets, only one AMS, and all that just for an extra laser.. :/

The 1X should be fun. Wish it was faster though.

I guess the hero would be nice if you want a stronger SRM punch, or just more missiles, and the maneuverability looks okay atleast.

The 1x might make a brawler, with a right shield arm along the lines of a, BJ ac20 build but the need for ammo tonnage in the missile launcher would give it less endurance, and if you brave a std engine you'll allways have an ML or mpl to shoot while your upright.

The hero will certainly end up being used like a treb lrmboat but with less ability, of those that are likely to buy it.

Its over all a pretty woeful mech, so its keeping in canon to a degree, as it was created as a mass produced mech that Cappellans were still able to build, it wasn't designed to be great.

I might get the cbill versions but I won't be spending on this game until stability improves and stays stable..maybe if PGI hadn't quoted ToS at me and at least given me a token gesture, over the desync while my premium ticks down

1X, barring horrid hitboxes, will be my new SMM ride, probably. Otherwise.....IDK. Will try out the thing though, because...well..Medium MEch, ya know?

The hero doesn't really offer anything interesting compared to the others, even if the heat generation quirk is only present on the hero. Wish the 1X had two energy in the arm and that they had gotten an extra missile slot across the board to help differentiate them from Blackjacks. Interested in seeing their hit boxes, they may be a little more resilient than Blackjacks.

After the jump jet nerf, it's not much to write home about, I think. It's a very slow Cicada with slightly more armour and some jump jets. Yes, it has arms, but the SRM is torso-mounted.

I hope it's a good mech. I'd like to play it. But on paper, it just looks like more food for the heavy / assault mech overlords.

I was looking at 2 mlasers, LB-X and 2 MG. Of course...my Arrow smokes it, but that is HEro vs Cbill. But still, since my Arrow already fills that role better, it's a SMM mech for me, cause it is underwhelming for "norrmal" play

Something interesting to note is that it says the 1R and 1X have +5% armor strength (full body) quirks. Seems like a pretty minor buff. But I guess its something.

I'm not exactly in a position to check @ the moment... why am I not seeing any discussion about the most important aspect of the Vindi?

DOES IT HAVE SHADES?!

Unless it's considerably smaller than the Treb, I'm not sure I see the point.

The Treb would be faster, have more armour, have all lasers mounted on the arms. Just seems superior overall.

Well, their arms should guard the STs some, which should be good XL news. But since toughness was supposed to be their hallmark, I do hope they have good hitboxes.

The LPL build is interesting, but surely the Blackjack is a much superior sniper / poptart than the Vindicator? Too early to tell, I guess. But on paper, I'd prefer sniper weapons on the high mounts of the Black Jack, rather than lowslung arms on a 45 ton mech.
