Destructive, not destructible.
The goal of destructive map testing is to find problem areas on the map. Things like places where you can fall out of world, see-through walls, shoot-through walls, invisible walls, getting stuck on rocks, etc...

All players registered before 20-Aug-2014 at 4:30AM PDT may join the test.
Is this normal registration or is there a link?

Nope! I can see how that is confusing but all it means you have to of had an account before the 20th of August at 4:30PST. I'm guessing it's because they will be making a copy of everyone's live accounts for the test at this time. It's been this way for every public test as far as I know, but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

On a side note however, please get the Mechlab finished. This should of been done already.

You'll need to download the Test Client itself... (linked above and in the announcement on the main page)... As long as you have the test client you're good to go... just make SURE to install to a seperate directory other than your main live version...
I've had the same Test Client installed since they started doing public tests... and just like the live version, starting it up it will show if a patch to update it is available or not...
Hope that wasn't TOO confusing... it's late and has been a LONG day at work...
EDIT - dang these old fingers... Ninja'd by Niko... LOL
