Still, wins does beat kills.



If you die, don't spectate, just drop in another mech, trial if needs be.

So if we are saving our premium time up... this will AUTOMATICALLY start it? I understand the seveon days are not bankable. But what about the other time I have saved up? Or will it just give us 7 days and stop???

For all of those complaining about this event. You DO realize you're playing a team based game right? It's not ALWAYS about you and you alone...

Well considering previous challenges like the kill's or assists were DOABLE in the group queue... why make a solo only challenge that is based on a condition that is extremely painful to archive without speed dropping though multiple chassis or sync dropping solo dropping to try and bias teams.

But then you want to defend everything PGI does? alrighty then... your opinion...

In my first few games, I've had players taking decent command, and there's more teamwork going on in solo then I've ever seen in group play. I think this proves a point, though- given the rewards, players tend to play a lot more intelligently.

Yeah, because nothing screams team game like a solo event.

then give me the ability to communicate with the team.

Do you actively scout, against really good shots, and stop to type? Other than maybe a uav, thats all you have as a scout if you have zero ecm.

Tonights MM is the worst one sided matches i've ever seen.
Not the kind where one team just plays bad, but the kind where the MM stacks player skill, tonnage and clan mechs.
Add in the shameful display of sync-dropping to that aswell.

solo queue doesn't = solo play. You're still on a team.

that's not an event issue. just because you can win rewards in teh solo queue this weekend doesn't and shouldn't mean you suddenly stop playing as a team. Would I rather it have been available to group queue ALSO? Sure, but that has nothing to do with the event itself or the rewards.

I think it's interesting that a lot of players are now complaining about things like "my team sucks" like this event suddenly changed the way the game is played?

Come on guys, 50 wins isn't that hard to get. I think it's pressing it a bit to get those in 2 days but I'd MUCH rather have challenges based on TEAM wins as opposed to "i got a kill this game, screw the win and the rest of my team"

A disorganised team sure, but after spending the last 2 years playing solo I finally got some friends to play, and if I want to participate in this I have to tell them to piss off for the weekend. Add to that I find the win based challenges tedious, and often far more toxic with people freaking out over the smallest of mistakes because it might mean they lose. While the kill/assists was not perfect it is certainly better than this as far as I'm concerned.

For a 50 win prize... that seems rather disappointing IMO (especially when premium time activates after the 20th win).

If the prize was a Vindicator (just a C-bill variant, with an additional mechbay of course), then the prize matches the effort committed to the process.

6.5m C-bills is somewhat of a "disappointing bonus" to some degree.

Decent challenge, prizes are awesome. What isn't so awesome is being constantly placed with new players simply because I did well in a match or two and then losing badly because the average skill level of the teams match but the per-person levels are disparate. I'm driving Locusts and Blackjacks...those are not carry 'Mechs.Those are 'Mechs that require the whole team to have some idea what it's doing.

Carry on carrying harder. Ugh.

it's not like you can't play both. Why does everyone act like this is something that means that can only exclusively play in one manner? I do agree that 6.5million cbills (especially when the other rewards are premium and a mech bay) is kinda.... weird? I mean it's nice but realistically it's nowhere near as good as the other two

No its an underlying issue with how the game is setup. There's a reason I refuse to play in pugs, no ability to communicate. I'm not talking about kills Sandpit, I'm talking about coordination.

Isn't that what the group queue is... you know where I can get 1-11 friends onto comms and actually co-ordinate... there are no tools to communicate or organise yourself or your team in the solo queue. There is no VOIP, there is no Comm Rose, there is a very basic and time consuming ingame chat ignored by the majority... IF this was a team based game there would be methods to play it as a team based game without 3rd party programs or grouping outside of the game...

Pug queue is all about the individual sadly because that's the only person you know and will perform...
