how's it coming along for you guys? if anyone wants some tips, I can shell out some for you guys.

Most don't need tips, but they would be happy if this didn't cause such toxic behavior. The event by nature of being win based and solo only has been really frustrating.

First, GOOD JOB PGI.

I think the rewards are mixed up, though. 6.5m cbills is worth less than 7 hours premium. A good progression - first get a mech bay, then some cbills to buy a mech, finally some premium time to master it.

I know one guy in my unit is done the 50... took him 12 hours of literally speed dropping, playing a game till he died then switching mechs or playing until it's a guaranteed win then changing mechs... the thing is he was taking Dire Wolf's with huge alpha's and Warhawks if the Dire Wolf were in games.

Throw in client faults for me, I still get the forever connecting leaving a match dead, and my client randomly crashes to desktop at the end of the game... 6 hr to do the 20win is all I'm going to put into this bad challenge... particular when it's stacked team vs no stacked team 50% of the time.

For a game that is supposed to be about teamwork Solo drops are counterproductive. With Suicide players and no teamwork. Hopefully next week will be team based to support Community warfare.

Just as a counterpoint, i was in one match where it ended up being only two mechs left. It was a Jenner K at about 60% and a direwolf at about 75%. There were 2 minutes left and we convinced the Jenner to just go up against the Direwolf because if we tied, no one won. He went up, died, but we all thanked him for not ending in a tie.

Great challenge, I will probably finish 50 by tomorrow. Too bad there are people exploiting it by suiciding at the start of the game, switching mechs and doing it again.

It is not less if you look at what they charge for 6.5 mil Cbills in the MWO store.

this challenge would be a lot more fun if we didn't have to solo drop. I personally like playing with my friends on the weekend and having to isolate myself in order to get the rewards is pretty lame.

I wouldn't even bother with 50 wins for the 6.5 CB... you make 3-5 times that just trying to get the wins...

But yea anyone that buys CB's for MC isn't all there... and that's what PGI markets to...

Obviously they want it to be a grind/difficult so you can keep playing. Imagine if it was group based - players would just que easily with their friends and win the challenge and probably stop.


This forces players who really want the prize to almost pug for hours or all weekend... good formula on their part....

If you could prove that they were suiciding / disconnecting for that reason, but it would be difficult, unless you had a screencap of them saying so in chat.

The last one was for group or solo.

Got the 10 matches for my 4th empty mechbay now.

Might just try to get to 20 before it ends but thats as far as ill go.

The Last Two have been both, I can Understand why they did it when were Groups in the Solo Queue. But Now that it is Groups VS Groups, and Solo Only VS Solo Only. I don't we why they can't all be for Both.

Because As show if they Look me up, If I have to Pick Solo play with Prize or Group play with my Friends. Sorry Friends win out every time and the Prizes can rot in hell.

The way these win challenges seem to work. You have to fight like crazy to get the wins. But when you get them the wins start racking up.

I really wonder sometimes if they ELO stack for this kind of event..

Be cause groups are STIILL mixed with solos and it does give them a serious advantage. high tier groups already get a lot of advantges so making it solo play only is good for the rest of the community

This is incorrect. There are no groups in the solo queue. All groups 2-10 and 12 are in the group queue.
