ends on the 26th? that is so much time.

what is with everyone thinking 50 is impossible? it's so easy, just takes multiple matches if your good to "decent" teams.

Basically , if you're a good player, and the team doesn't steam in and die, you can carry 1k+ damage and easily seal the win.

Welp, didn't want to go for the 50 victories but all my mates were doing the challenge for the Premium. Got them after a grand total of 70 games, including 10 victories in 11 games in the 30-40 stretch.

Played some fun and really good games, but overall the pugging MM feels just broken. So many weird teams.

Definitely.

You get teams that are really, really good.

Then you get some average teams.

Then you get some completely horrid teams, like brand new MWO, just installed. Like so bad, they almost look like they are AFK.

Definitely a headache, without a doubt.

Most of the time damage is not even relevant. Giving the battalion direction is sometimes more effective than being a one man army.

I may have died early, but i kept communication going the entire time, without harassing or being condescending, calling targets behind them going from spectate to spectate, and encouraging them every step of the way. Not all groups listen, nor i try to direct every one every game, only on certain maps where i know how to maneuver an entire battalion trough and able to predict the enemy movement.

I've got my ten kills for a seventh empty bay....

That's it for me.

I have a wife and friends that want to play with me.

Making this a solo only challenge was a BIG mistake. Unless you have a reason for forcing us to go solo in a team oriented game? I smell some "give the unwashed masses free stuff so we can test something out/gather a whole wad of stats" thing going on here... (Let them eat cake!)

Now that the group queue is only groups, denying teams the opportunity to participate has forced me make a choice. I choose....

To play in a TEAM in your TEAM BASED game.

See you in the group queue.

Even if all you want to do is just play for fun and win matches just to win (ignoring the 50 goal) but the number of disconnects and suicide farmers is just crazy, and once the match goes south for a team even more just give up so there is no real fight to the death. If it clearly isnt going to be a win people just give up and leave to grab another mech for the next match.

Sure you can try to carry on as I have doing 4-600 damage in my hero spider and getting kills everywhere, but what is the point when people on your team or the other team just decide to derp and ruin the fun.

Sure plain wins was an interesting test as was the kill/assist challenge but I think upping the end of round points for spot/tag/narc/counterecm and just using the end match score for a challenge would be the best thing to do, it would force people to put real effort in for every single match and actual teamwork with spot/tag/narc/counterecm would be supported.

Personally, I think that this should have been on 'points', like how last weeks Marik challenge went, instead of wins.

Maybe something like this?
Get 1,000 points = Mechbay
Get 2,000 points = 7 Days of Premium Time
Get 5,000 points = 6.5 Million C-bills

Win = 100 points
Kill = 5 points each
Assist = 1 point each
Damage = 1 point per 100 damage
Spot Assist = 1 point each

And so on...

This way you still get more for winning the match & helping the team, but you can still at least make some progress if your team gets ROFLstomped.

If you are a new player, say with about a 50/50 win / loss ratio after your first 25 games, you would be right about in the middle of the bell curve, so you would be in games with people far better than you and far worse than you. Also, more high-end players who normally play in groups, or private matches, are dropping in the solo queue now to get the challenge done, so this will make it harder for people who are used to a certain level of gameplay.

First I am a founder so not new.
I almost always solo pug.
I have been playing since july 2012.
Thousands of drops

Sure my skill level might be in the average/good nowhere near top of anything but regardles of that all my mechs are usually tricked out with upgrades and are mostly completely mastered and even if they are not I have experience and a butload of modules to help me.

We should not be seeing such a constant stream of people in trial mechs who are mostly clueless, sure the higher rankings of players can be mixed with different skill levels but at the other end for newer people the matchmaker should be stricter. Have been saying this for like a year.

And of course for the people who do care (not that I do) the more trial mechs they see that drag down their teams the worse their ranking gets because of it

Holy poop. Last night before I went to bed I had 32 wins (and one pending) before I went to bed... I wake up and check before I get started I'm down to 29 ??? How do I lose 3 losses over night? I wish I had screenshotted where I was but I had no reason to think that I would wake up minus wins!

Has this happened to anyone else?

this challenge sucks due to the fact I am a "non-competitive" player and the way ELO is set up, taking a week off brings you down into "scrub" territory.

so many clueless idiots running around not pushing or dying before the 3 minute mark is up.

I find myself on the losing team 90% of the time against clan-mechs and try-hards who then rub their kill-count in my face.

I hate this challenge, this is text-book bad gameplay

PGI Trolling....

Had the same thing 2 weeks ago....had the 100% victory to finally have 80% of the challenge done....when it was finish.... couldnt beleive it.

Simple solution would be to have a Trial Mech only queue, similar to how Magic the Gathering online has a lobby where people play with the free starter decks only and you can stay in that lobby as long as you want before going into the main lobby.

Better for GAME SCORE:
better score every game = more points
! CAP warrior - low score
1k damade + kills + assist + win = 100-150+ score
nothin to do = 0 score

Get 750 points = Mechbay
Get 1,500 points = 7 Days of Premium Time
Get 3,000 points = 6.5 Million C-bills
