Anyone else in AU/NZ seeing higher pings after the move to the new data center? My ping has gone from ~230 to ~315, and it's quite noticeable.

The new data center may actually be further from the old one, or your ISP is taking you on a backwards route to the servers.

Actually the old datacenter was in eastern Canada too.

The the second option is the liable cause, the location shift is causing his ISP to take a different, longer route to the server.

Went from 20-30ping to 130-150 ping with the same desync issues. Live in the midwest. Wow, just facepalm. Like i said in another thread this is the kind of ping i get when i play on a server in Europe so who knows where im being rerouted too.

If you live in NA and having a latency issue post datacentre move, you can report it to PGI to get some action on it.
Those living outside of NA can suck their thumb though.

Could ISP also be a factor? I'm with Internode who have VERY good gaming support (they frequently host dedicated servers for popular online games) and my ping hasn't changed. Wouldn't be all too surprised to hear that some of you on Telstra have been whacked - Telstra sucks testicles.

ISP routing may differ as it does here in the UK, my ping was far worse on Virgin Media with a "faster connection" than it is on Sky with a "slower connection"

Average ping lower by 30 to 50, so for once here's a thank you PGI.

Eh, my ping went from about 70 avg to 107 avg. Midwest US. Haven't had enough matches to tell if it's really having a negative effect, but I'm still not all that happy.

But you always get screwed in the Great Plains when it comes to servers, so whatever.

Improved ping here in the states. Use to range from 50-70s before and now all my matches last night where in the mid to low 30s.

Well, it's only been a day but my ping is still sitting at 360. What's interesting is that the servers feel 'better', in that my ping is way more stable (it actually sits at 360) than it was before, but it's still disappointing since it's easily jumped into the unplayable range for anything faster than an Atlas.

Where I live there really isn't much in the way of decent connections, recently we left Telstra (money grubs) and moved to Dodo... which many Aussies will know is pretty terrible. But, it's the best we could get here, and it does have unlimited data usage, which is a novelty here.

Guess I'll be putting MechWarrior away for some time now. :\

Virtually no significant change, was ranging between 268 to 278, now its on average 264 to 272. Rubberbanding and desync is about the same as before move.

Has anyone asked on Twitter about the massive ping increases? I'm back at 130ms above where I used to be.
