The Factory (or whatever it's going to be called) will be rolled out Soon™.
I'm with you on the maps: they need to be rolled out WAAAAAAAAY faster than they have been, but PGI seems like they're on the right track. I just think they officially moved out of Beta about a year or two early.

One year after launch and....
well we still have no new content except for mechs and cockpit baubles.
still no
lobbies
voip
command bloom
comm features
campaign
smurfy mech lab
maps
faction warfare
We're STILL at minimally viable product phase a year after commercial release and launch.

it's hard to put a second story on a house without the foundations in first. I lay the blame squarely on those pushing too hard for what is really a long term goal. Did you want new maps or CW?
Do you want CW before Voip or lobbies?
Its not possible for a small team of devs to do everything expected of them. I for one want the foundations first. The in game features like voip and lobbies, more choices for new players to train without getting trashed every match. More maps to provided much needed variety and balance, a goal they seem to be working on and doing pretty well.
Take CW and shove it. Shove your overblown expectations. Give a a great core game then feed the CW crowd what they ask for in time.

Close.
As of today there still are those same actual core features that need to go into the game.

I appreciate what you are saying, but truth be told, I'm willing to bet that even if they ditched "all" the work that they have done on CW in the past 2 years (which I think people would find to be shockingly little) and switched to to what you want, there still would be little progress because they simply make and sell mech chasis to a salivating, deluded community which has taught them they don't need to concentrate on any community expanding/improving content.

My take is if we were centered on the core of the game instead of demanding CW now we would already be much further down the road. Its not what I want but its what is practical overall.

Above all if their main work is an endless nerfing balance, and... nice hero mech designs (for happy sales)... and nice colors ...and nice cockpit items.... and horns.

They are trying to figure out how to actually make this game.
I don't think they were prepared for the sheer amount of work and talent it would take to pull off the lofty goals they promised. They are thrashing around in the deep end of the pool just struggling to stay a float and have something to show for it.
I still say the next few months will speak volumes about the direction of this game. If they can't pull off Community Warfare corretly and timely, it probably means they aren't capable of doing it.

ding ding ding
Their inability to work on more than one thing at a time, their costs for map production, their constant shifting of focus, etc. seems to stem from their inability to lead a company on a solo venture. They went from shovelware and working on parts of a project, to being the lead designers for an entire game.
They're eyes were bigger than their stomachs

NEXT TIME DO SOME RESEARCH, IT WONT KILLA you
As for the maps, we definitely need a whole bunch more. Also need a faster way to make them. I dont expect until after they role CW out that maps will take priority.

Well, they have been doing that since the beginning of the year, just work on one major feature at a time. UI, Launch module, Clans, Association, and next is planet warfare but without maps i dont see how. Front warfare is somewhere in between so I expect that will come before planet warfare.

what is your problem dude.
I will break it down if you want me too.
If he would have done some research he would have known what the dates were for CW, and how they already got association out the way. The only thing left is Coming in October but without maps I wonder how they can pull it off.
There is also front warfare but that is wedged in between.
