Can the Clans get a Button too, so they don't have to put up with the whining of those like yourself, who only want what they want, and everyone else can go **** themselves.

P.S. Remember the old adage. There is no ME in Team. ;)

Is there any button to keep those like this off the way?

Alright, that's fair.
What about people who don't want to deal with ECM, LRMs, or any other number of things people have complained about over the years? Should they all get their own little Queues - or should they just use the Private Match option?

Hint: The answer is Private Matches.

Hint: I did not open this thread to discuss those things you mentioned.

The reality is, you can't avoid it.

While your idea sounds "OK" in theory, the justification of it which amounts to "I can't handle them" shows that you haven't improved your own skills to defeat them. There are nerfs still to be had on Clan Mechs (particular Clan XL engines), but if you're trying to add a mode for an excuse to not play better, then the reaction you are getting is pretty natural and won't stop because of that fundamental complaint.

If you want a IS only mode, I don't think it's unreasonable. Just don't use the excuse "I suck at fighting Clan mechs" as the reason.

I would even welcome the replies of those against my idea if they were not a useless bunch of 'learn to play' and 'stop whining'.

Is it too much to ask those who have nothing better than that to say to stay out?

The "Forever Alone" mode? If I ever went in to that mode, I would be the only mech on the map - I think I've been killed by all mech and weapon types. :P

I wouldn't even get to drop, since if we removed every 'mech chassis I've been killed by there wouldn't be any left for me to drop in :)

As for the OP, it's not a bad idea. It's just 25 years too late; if the game was set in 3025 we would have had 25 glorious years of IS-on-IS warfare and mayhem to look forward to. As it is set in 3050 though, the best we can hope for is that they tighten the screws on the matchmaker and let us fight 12 IS vs 10 Clans on a regular basis.

I am not basing my proposal on that excuse.
I can pretty much manage to take an Atlas down, alone with my spider sometimes, or simply damage it seriously others.
What can I do against clan mechs that vaporize me at sight without even the possibility to turn and avoid?

Do you know that sounds like hyperbole?

As much as I believe Clan Mechs have certain advantages over IS (mostly through Clan XL), they are for the most part not insta-win. There's arguably one chassis more powerful than the rest (and well deserving of nerfs), but when you put it like that, noone is going to take your argument seriously.

Well calling people douchebags is a great start, well done sir.

I am afraid I can no longer support your view point

I have decided that you MUST come up with a new derogatory term for people who don't agree with you

I've been playing a few games now since the clan mechs have been added. And I find it quite difficult to have fun now because of them.

So I though: why not to add an option that allows players to enter in games with no clan mechs?

Sure, there are private matches, even though it's boring and difficult to gather all of the players for one. It'd be more comfortable a little tick box that allows you to choose in between games with and without clan mechs in them.

If it means we no longer have to listen to a massive wave of QQ on the forums every day, I'm all for it.

Don't be mad though when I jump in an IS mech to go, "No-Clan Mech Queue" stomping.

Because the Atlas is a bad mech?

Try that with a Pre nerf Victor, or even a current Victor, or Banshee. You'll die pretty fast as well.

I rather enjoy the challenge of facing clan mechs in my IS. I bought the timberwolfs, but I still would rather play a K2 or Blackjack.

Z

Is it strange that I, a mediocre player, have no problem with Clan mechs?

This is my opinion, is my opinion wrong? Should I start a thread about it? LOL

Well then, tell us all what you think in a post where you expose your idea and explain your motivations, Mr ironic.

I see no reason for PGI to make additional game modes to conform to various players' ideals of the game. For one thing it would make the game's matchmaker way more complicated than it needs to be (no doubt more than PGI could handle anyways).

I -do- see where you are coming from, OP, but it simply is not a viable option. Either nut up and shut up, or organize yourself a private match (or even a 12-man). PGI cannot just mold the game into what you want it to be.

I find that approaching Clan Mechs from the sides or rear is a great way to level the playing field.
Handy trick* - check your mini-map once you lock onto a target, the arrow kind of shows you which way they are facing, DON'T RUN DIRECTLY INTO THE POINT OF THEIR ARROW.

*it's not really a trick, it's something that everybody should be doing all of the time.

Sometimes games get changed on the base of a request supported by a wide number of players. So why shall I not try to gather one if possible?

Well,

Only my Uncle calls me Mr. Ironic

In the immortal words of MWO, you just need to learn to play. I could teach you, but I'd have to charge.
