Mostly because you started a thread asking for a mode to be made to allow you to skip a portion of the game that you find 'quite difficult'?

Those are not Streaks...those are plain old SRMs, just like you get in the Inner Sphere...

The reality is no one would waste tonnage on streaks that take twice as long to cool down for little to no gain and greater damage spread.

I think this is a poor attempt to troll...

Even though I never talked of 'removing' but rather add an option for a different game mode like it can be choosing to play skirmish matches only, conquest or capture the base.

Because you keep running into SSRM range when in a light mech?

Adding an option to remove a feature is still asking to remove something.

The Timber Wolf D carries 4 SSRM6s.

You didn't specify it had to be in this game only that we had seen one! I have seen...Many!

And we can duplicate the D with the S side torsos, yes. Still, how often do you see someone piloting a Timberwolf, in MWO, using Streaks? That's my point. :)

SRM Timberwolves are not uncommon. I have a near stock Timberwolf S with quad SRM6.. SSRM Timberwolves, on the other hand, are rare. Why do you think that is?

Streaks spread damage like nuts. Unless you're shooting a light mech, you aren't going to be doing that much progress in slaying an enemy mech with them. And the bigger launchers have insane cooldowns. We're talking 7 second for the SSRM6. That's why nobody uses them, especially since unlike regular SRMs (which work with the Buckton fix), ECM can lock them down hard.

Finally... I assumed you to be bad at the game because you complained about one of the weapon systems that's pretty much considered to be useless or close to, while associating that complaint to the one chassis that isn't used with those same weapons. I've seen a Stormcrow with streaks, and I think I've seen a Kit Fox and/or an Adder with them as well. A Timberwolf... eh, nope.

Honestly, if you are a good player and you honestly think Streaks are a good weapon (for general use), I have a bridge in Paris to sell you...

But not the question you asked. Getting you to clarify was my only intent. ;)

"No Clan Mechs Game Mode"

Interesting... Although, some IS pilots would not know how to deal with Clan Mechs when they decide they want to participate in Community Warfare..

Well, the trial atlas is bad. Haven't used a normal one in...years?

It's slow and lacks hardpoints, it's outclassed by the Banshee in most regards. Not for missiles, though.

Doesn't matter, it should still be able to at least make the spider think better of the idea unless it's already heavily damaged.

I've been playing a few games now since the clan mechs have been added. And I find it quite difficult to have fun now because of them.

So I though: why not to add an option that allows players to enter in games with no clan mechs?

Sure, there are private matches, even though it's boring and difficult to gather all of the players for one. It'd be more comfortable a little tick box that allows you to choose in between games with and without clan mechs in them.

I found a game for you!

I had problems with 12 med lasers hitting me at once from Novas too. C-Streak srm is an example of weapon superiority.

*sigh*

If your coming up against people using Clan Streak SRMS and firing all 12 ERML, both you and they have much learning to play to do.

Sorry it's harsh and you won't like it, but it's true.

While we're at it can i have a mode without mechs that can carry multiple AC's? I really hate it when i end up in their LOS.
Oh, and no lights too please, I'm sick of them always being the last mechs alive and having to scour the map looking for them.

What? I can't jump on the bandwagon? ^_^

I'll raise you, can i have a mode with a heat cap of 30, and no ghost heat, and IS ML rolled back to their original heat, and no Gauss Charge and PPC's at their original speed.

You might want to check the idea behind this game. It's set in 3050, which in the BattleTech Universe is when the Clan invasion happens. This means that the centuries-long infighting between the Inner Sphere houses stop as they all band together to defend against this external threat.

As I said in a post above, if the game was set in 3025 (which I'm the first to agree it should have been - 3050 could have been an expansion later), IS vs IS would have been all we had.

But this is MWO, a game whose very idea is to pit the Inner Sphere against the Clans.

It's a bit like asking for a Luftwaffe vs Luftwaffe mode in a WWII air combat game.

Yes, It is not going to happen outside of private games.

Why not a 3025 tech game, with proper TT stats. No 3x refire, no doubled armour.

That might be nice.

I would play that, but i do like my clan mechs, more the look and the lore of the clans rather than the tech base.

Buti would play 3025 IF Marauders, archers were included.

Still think this is where they should have started to begin with. Increasing cool down time on everything could still go a long way even now.
