Just imagine - no reset after 7th August. All founders can tune their mechs. They have the advantage of more chassis and more money.

Then the open beta kicks in..,that won't be nice for new players.

I don't think it'll make that huge of a difference TBH, I don't care how tweaked your mech is, you still have to be a good pilot.

If there was a way to take out a pilot before they even got to their mech, I'd do it.

Ah, center gyro shots - it should either freeze the mech from moving for a few seconds and then give it an awkward limp for awhile or making go down on its knees.

Seriously, crotch joint structure hits should seriously mess up balance for any mech.

well, apart from DDOS attacking specific players or having their ISP shut down I think you'll be out of luck. Local power outages are of course possible as well. B)

Orbital bombardment is always an option.

If I saw someone who was out of head armor, why wouldn't I hit them with a NARC then fire missiles until they stopped moving?
As long as you aren't exploiting errors in the game, you're still playing fair.

How exactly does one "play fair" in giant armored death machines?

Playing fair could be construed as not taking advantage of weak back armor, or demanding you face your opponent honorably toe2toe.

That's not how Light Mechs play, they play to win. Any Light pilot that disagrees will be a smoking husk on the battlefield.

Any mech pilot will play that way. I'll be using an Awesome for the most part, but if I can blast your leg actuators into molten slag to slow you down then by Blood of Davion I will do it!

my version of playing fair, is not shooting down the pilot -after- they've ejected XD

LOL Let them grab a new Mech so you could blast them away again.

Whatever it takes within limits of unaltered gameplay. Period. If I'm nearly out of ammo and got one last barrage, you bet your oil dump I'll camp and release it all close range on someone's backside.

It is possible to do both with integrity. In the end, it's only a game.

Why waste the ammo when you have big feet and can outrun a human? I wonder if we can custom paint the bottom of our 'mechs' feet.

This is war. War is not fair, neither is life.

The way to win a war is not with honor, but with overwhelming force and by exploiting the enemy's weakness.

Honor is a handicap that is to be exploited. That is how the Inner sphere eventually beat the clans.

Lastly, everybody has access to every thing in the game so as far as I know, anything goes on the battlefield.
