Founder's mech permanent bonus: not a good idea?

So forcing you to buy ammo somewhat offsets the +25% C-Bills bonus in the Founder's Package mechs (all 4 flavours of them).
Now, if only the Founder's Package offered energy-based Mechs with +25% C-Bills bonus, I would be very happy

1) It's been done in WoT - it works. And it'll work better because no Founder's 'Mech is an invincible steel wall kicking around trash cans (like a Type 59 vs most lower tier armored buckets).
I think the biggest issue is you'll end up with a scenario where you can't even play your top tier mech because it isn't worth the repair/rearm bill after the match (losing money to play a round) like in WoT. That is if you don't have premium currently or a founder mech.

I fail to see what the issue is. Someone who has purchased a mech or four, is going to be more likely to play them than other mechs? So what?

Hmm, I imagine the energy-based weapons will cost more to repair and to purchase, in addition to needing enough heatsinks to run them.
The founder mechs are the prime variants, which have a mix of both energy and ammunition-based armaments.

I also play WoT also have a type 59 and a T25 and the freebies given away at special events, yes they allow me to fund my T9's /10
but i found u can also supplement your high tier tanks by using credit grinders ie Easy8 KV1 and 2 (PzIV also a good 1 but not my style of play)
and i'm sure MWO will be the same some mid range mech that excels at earning credits on a premium status or not,
so i don't see why so many people worry about the income incress on any mech, it'll all be playable in the end some will just have to work harder if they want to save real money.

I support the permanent boost because gambling with 60 or 120$ on a game you've never played nor can't even demo/trial should reward us for doing so. We were also here when the company needed us to be. We helped fund the game without any assurance that it would be a great or even good game simply because we wanted to assist and hoped for the best. You can't say any of this if you waited 6months post release, saw a good game you're able to try out entirely for free, THEN decide to give them money. We took a risk, you didn't, and we should be rewarded for it.

Been waitin for years to see type of gameplay of the mech, was a lil dissapointed when i found out only IS are in game, but at least we got a great mech game , had reinstalled my MW4 Veng & mercs, played it for a while but missed the good ol servers, I know of the mod for crysis, tried it but somehow it was too much, vehicles and mechs wise...
btw i like the catapult and hunchy, the jenner was used mostly in mw 1, if any1 here remembers that 1
But my fav mechs are :Shadowcat , Marauder , Warhammer and Rifleman
And to the comparison of wot, yes i do own a type, a lowe, hell even got the churhill, mathilda and bloody valentine, do i primarly use em, hell no, altho even after they nerfed the crap out of the type, i still like it, But tanks like Batchat 25T and such costs bloody money even if you do mk a few kills, most o/t time u end up with 1000-3000 extra after a battle and yes im premium account so that got to be halfed for non prem users, u see not a money maker, but heck its fun to use. But after 3-7battles i use a type to mk up for the losses, and thats exactly what im gonna do in MWO. at least i think Coz 1 of the more apealling mechs is the Stalker and the Dragon!
just my 2 cents tho,
Cheers
