Im hoping that this means that all the people that are responsible for bad marketing, over-inflated prices, unpopular forced upon decisions (3PV fiasco), and poor community management left with IGP.

That would be a godsend, nay a MIRACLE.

So this means you're no longer under Quebec's rules for contests and don't have to skimp on prizes for weekend events anymore?

So the delays were mainly because of IGP? I'm not sure if I missed something.

I think IGP was forcing them to do or advertise things that the game wasn't ready for yet. Like announcing that the game was out of beta, when the major features of the game weren't ready to go live yet. Or starting the timeline clock at 2049 two years ago, when major features of the game weren't ready yet. So having everything under one roof means that the advertisement of the game will actually match the stage it is actually in development wise.

You know how contests always say "void where prohibited?"

Looking forward to where you go from here. Freedom from a publisher can be a boon, I hope you guys make the best of it.

All I can say is this:

You've cut off essentially one of the last excuses for why certain things are done or not (publisher influence is/was a factor in some previous decisions). While this is good, it won't excuse further bad decisions/delays that have yet to be resolved and thus all culpability still falls on you.

If August gave us an indication of how MWO will work without IGP, than I'm looking forward to many happy gaming hours with this game! *thumbs up*

I dunno how to feel about this. It sure seems IGP is in deep doo-doo. They still have MWO and MW:T on their site, even though MW:T is dead.

The safe play for me, as a player and a customer, is to wait and see what happens.

Can we now have a new MSN GAMMING ZONE clone so we can start to play leagues again? I know your good at building clones of many things.
And please put it on the front of UI 2.1 under home tab

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If PGI is being honest about IGP just dumping the clan announcement on PGI like they did, then this is very good news.

I hope PGI will be able to focus more thoroughly on the pillars that were first announced during the initial development of the game.
I hope that this will also allow PGI to streamline redundant steps in development and enabled them to move forward at a faster pace with increased creative freedom.

Why hasn't the game seem any improvement over the last month if you've been operating under the new model already? Typically, when you cut some inefficiency out of a process you see immediate improvements. Here, it's just business as usual. No better, no worse... Just the same.

Why were members of competitive teams such as HOL and SJR informed of the IGP buyout almost a month before the general public? (This has been confirmed on two twitch streams.)

Does PGI have a policy concerning the interaction of staff members between certain groups of players so as to avoid possible conflicts of interest or competitive advantages that might arise during CW? (If any of you are familiar with EVE, the t20 incident seems something that might happen here.)

If so, what is PGI's policy in terms of favoritism shown by privileged users (employees, community figures, premier competitive players) towards outside organizations such as teams, in game clans or groups of users?

Rusticated, that would be probably the biggest downfall of the company if anything akin to that happened. I also hope for the sake of the company that it doesn't and they can learn for talk/reading up/history as opposed to themselves...

Also I take it the split was amicable.

Take it in your stride and come out on top, you have the chance now PGI...

Edit: Bolded the important bit.

Didn't they just put out a patch that aimed to balance clan weapons? And didn't they host a public test a couple weeks ago to test those changes, and the new map, and an attempt at fixing disco's?

What exactly do you expect as immediate improvements?
