ShadowCat almost certainly will be the medium, and Mad Dog for the Heavy. At least they would make the most sense I think.

For light, I want to doubt it will be Firemoth just because it'll have the same problem as the Locust: paper armor. The Piranha seems the obvious choice, not only for its speed but also its namesake :) Only other possibility I would throw in is the Jenner IIC.

For assault, my money would be on the Executioner so the Clans get a jump capable assault.

EDIT: just listened to part 3 of the town hall... no Shadow Cat :( I really hope even without MASC they will decide to add mechs that base around MASC and just have them add extra heat sinks or something in its place, I dunno.

No, cause TT purists will throw a fit. Not to mention the fact PGI is trying it's darnest to not to change any available crit or weight of stock mechs.

Also, it woulda been just fine to release mechs with MASC such as the Flea, Firemoth, and Executioner, and give the equipment no function--like the old Command Console--and fix it later, but no. So stupid.

dude... what?

Firemoth has something no other light mechs have--extremely high positioned arm mounts. Perfect for sniping.

After listening to the Town Hall, Russ had a good point when it comes to mech pricing. At just over $30.00 average for the larger mechs comapred to other F2P games its about even or a little less. Even Warframe runs the $120.00 Prime membership and fairly high price per frame for the harder to obtain ones.

If you think what you got for your purchase at say the $180.00 Ryoken Tier that's 18 Mechbays, 18 mechs which included the 6 Champion Prime varients, then the fluff, 6 cockpit items and 90 days premium time. Overall that's a good chunk of stuff if your into buying digital content.

What kills me is paint and cammo pricing. Everyone wants to customize and make you mech look as bad ace as possible, but the pricing is just high enough to turn most people off to buying it.

Well i m telling for the ones who havent buy it

I was hoping for the Wolfhound as one of the clan lights. Always was one of my favorite mechs, but I'm pretty sure the clan variants are out of the current timeline.

I do not care about M.A.S.C. right now A firemoth is180kph w/o it on speed tweak I do not need to go any faster. Don't let M.A.S.C. prevent iconic Mechs from appearing.

Except the Shadow Cat isnt a 3050 mech so it wont be the medium. The Ice Ferret will be the medium.

Fire Moth will never be added to the game because it goes over 200kph with MASC.

Its going to be Mist Lynx, Ice Ferret, Hellbringer/Mad Dog, Gargoyle. And either the Hellbringer/Mad Dog will be the bonus mech. Those are the 3050 omnis left without MASC.

No Hellbringer. Cause Hellbringer comes with anti-personnel pods, which is useless in MWO.

They don't have to include the pods; there are tons of variants without them.

I would love to see the Ebon jaguar as we will never get the Buskwacker but my bet is on the hellbringer for the heavy role

The original 3050 Sourcebook listed 16 Mechs the clans brought into the invasion. 8 of these we have.
Of the remaining 8, 2 from each weight class, 2 have MASC (Firemoth light & Excecutioner assault), and are therefore unlikely.
The mediums are both viable, but move at similar speeds and are both described as scouts. The Fenris uses new, unique geometry, whereas the Viper uses geometry from the Nova and possibly the Kitfox, therefore seems the more likely.
Of the 2 Heavies, both of which are iconic and popular, the Hellbringer can fit ECM, so I doubt PGI will put it behind the double paywall of needing a 1st wave pack AND the 2nd wave. The MadDog is, however, very similar to the Timberwolf in performance, and fits as more of a "flavour" mech for fans of the design.
Based on this I predict:
Light - Koshi
Medium - Viper
Heavy - Hellbringer
Assault - Gargoyle
Bonus 5th - MadDog

IS bonus - something Comstar/ not Faction locked? - BlackKnight?

Fire Moth is out due to masc.

Mist Lynx
Ice Ferret
Mad Dog
Gargoyle

Only vested interest I have is in seeing their concept art, couldn't really care less about the actual in game.

I am thinking it will probably be this.

It could be the Ice Ferret/Fenris instead of the Viper/Dragonfly for the medium, but I am hoping it's the Viper because the clans need small/fast mechs.

I highly doubt the Hellbringer/Loki will be the free bonus mech because it would be the only heavy with ECM and an exclusive. If they give that one away the players that can't get one will cry up a firestorm on the forums about it. That's why I think it has to be the Mad Dog/Vulture. That would still be highly worth getting if they include the A variant with it's 6XSRM 6 loadout. A clan Splat-Dog would just be devastating!

Pretty well agree, though "free exclusive" really just means it will be an INvasion Skinned cbill bonus version of the same mech everyone else will get after.

Still and all, if it has ECM, any delay could feed the P2W troll whines, so the sooner, and less exclusive, the better.

The Adder's torso mounts are pretty high, it just doesn't have much else going for it.

You realize the Ice Ferret and Viper both have the same top speed of 130kph right?

The Ice Ferret is more likely than the Viper because the Viper's geometry is friggin weird and would be difficult to model.

You couldn't even boat lasers anyway right now without becoming a walking George Foreman Grill set to broil.

I would love to see Maddog. Ebon Jaguar is still one of my favorite mechs, production started in 3049 and wasn't seen until 3053.....I'd be down for a little time manipulation to see one.

wasn't seen by anyone who lived to tell the tale? :)

Mech creators and modelers do not make maps. CW has been in full swing since as soon as IGP was removed from the picture.

oh god I pray the Mad Dog will be part of the next package!
