Sadly i wont get it till either one or the other happens; Community Warfare is out completely or 50% off sale for it. Which ever come first is how I get it the only difference is the price but I really want CW in full.

I'm quite glad that it is sticking to the lore based build. For some reason. Even though... yea I can't afford 3 griffins, time to grind some c-bills...
Finally a Griffin to rival the shadowhawk!

Edit: with the double energy slots being in the arms instead of the torsos.
Yeah this is how I am kind of seeing it.
2 LL, 4 ML, 5 JJ endo and all the DHS it can carry.
- Smaller body than the Quickdraw.
- JJs that weigh half as much and offer better performance.
- Lower tonnage allowing for a engine that weighs less, but offers more in the way of speed.
- Better agility and climbing ability with a medium class movement profile vs a heavy movement profile.
- Better hit boxes.
Too bad PGI has me soured on spending money with them right now though. I might consider picking it up on a 1/2 off sale though.

I really miss the card game. Probably the most fun card game I've ever played.
Cool hero 'mech, too.

Yeah, it's same as with the Yen-Lo-Wang or any other hero 'mech; they're unique. I guess if you've got your roleplaying hat on and see one in a game you just assume some enterprising mechwarrior copied the design.
But then again we have mixes of Inner Sphere and Clan 'mechs on the same teams... in 3050... with a mix of factions just duking it out over some random oil wells or generator-thingies.The game itself isn't overly canon the way it's set up, but it's fun.

Seems to be the build everyone is gravitating to. I actually still liked the QKD-5K despite it being a Quickdraw but the Griffin is a hell of a mech and with those hardpoints I'd have to try real hard to be disappointed. Other mechs on my plate for the moment but I will get around to buying Sparky.
