That's what they claim. I wonder if they mean to go back to EA and say "ok, we'll make it Wing Commander after all" and have EA be the publisher. However, they are still allegedly going to refund the crowdfunding money if it doesn't hit $500k.
PGI making the games for 2 huge franchises. Heads will *literally* explode.

I would worry that repeating their mistakes a second timer over, on another established and loved franchise would simply be too much for their existence.

It's alright, bro. You can always get a job as a video games "journalist", or start crowdfunding your own game. You will fit right in.

MWO is not finished and doesn't even have 50% of the features previously advertised and now they want 500k+ for a space game ala SC with stupid stretch goal like "flying", "construction" etc. I have to pay extra for BASIC functions. How stupid is that? That's like asking for more money so that mechs can move, and another 500k that they can use their weapons.
With a track record as bad as PGI, the stupid stretch goals and with the serious backlash from the understandably disgrunteled MWO-founders this "project" was doomed from the start.
To be honest, i'm kinda glad that the people didn't fall for the PGI-scam a second time. It makes me wonder if we have the capacity of redemption deep inside out black souls.
BTW: To all backers who have pledged the huge amount of 11000 $ until now: I think you won't get you money back, when this crowdfunding campaign fails (and it will). Why? Because they will probably find a way to fund it somehow. Maybe from funds they diverted from MWO-development etc. (Yeah wouldn't be suprised about that at all!)
The Transverse-campaign is as bad as the community manager communication skills. This company is unable to learn, unable to do the right thing and decency is not in their vocabulary. Sad but true.
I feel with any founder who is deeply regretting the decision, to throw money at PGI for MWO.
Looking at the first Transverse-thread about the reddit-ban, there are quiet a lot of unsatisfied founders.

I miss this. I still have a couple of my old toys. I find the art amusing now in that everybody shoots at the 10% of the dinosaur that's actually covered with armor.
But I'd totally throw money at a game based on this

I think the dinosaurs are relatively harmless if you remove all the weapons, so they're shooting at the armor & equipment and not the meatasaurs.

So... should we expect an improvement in development for MWO now? More hands-on in-house QA being done, more public testing after thorough QA, etc?

They aren't going to stop making it. They are just going to go to some publisher for funding. Wing Commander, an EA game will ship in 2016.
