They are comments made to me by players in 2013, I have 13 pages of history to search. I have them in there. But I'm not wasting my time digging them up. You can mine the forums here and find comments in the feedback threads like this everywhere.

And as I said in my previous post. THIS THREAD is not bullying PGI. And, like I already said, PGI doesn't think so either as this thread continues w/out CoC violations.

But go over on Reddit and you will see it. Take a spin around Twitter and you will see it. People in /r/mwo are actively trying to generate negative press for PGI to destroy them.

Ahh, sorry, I apologize I thought you were referring to this thread. I missed that statement in your previous post.

I am well aware that there are a few people out there that take things well past rationality.

Incorrect, I worked for software companies in the past that have done this sort of thing before.

Its not completely unheard of. "profit is profit" and they got a huge amount of money from us dumb founders and then from the phoenix packages and ESPECIALLY from the clan pack, even though they should NEVER have pushed Clan before CW was out and active for at least a year.

I doubt they will be able to make another game again until they REALLY get MW:0 perfect for the community.
1. Destructible terrain
2. A useful UI that actually WORKS and is intuitive
3. Different missions and game modes (Read the F*&@ING books and play the old games for IDEAS! DO BASIC RESEARCH.)
4. CW (So pathetic you cant even see that we REALLY WANT A GOOD GAME WITH DEPTH! NOT JUST MAPS AND MECHS.)
5. Different houses VRS. other houses or at least alliances. (Kurita and steiner on the same side! so laughable.)
6. Single player missions or 1-12 players vrs AI (USE THE OLD MW GAMES AI IF YOU ARE INCAPABLE.)
7. Drop ships, HQ, CONTENT AND IN DEPTH GAME PLAY!
8. ROLE WAREFARE (The game is all about damage to give XP that is pathetic.)

I know that thinking along these lines seems to be foreign to you there russ, so hire someone with some actual thoughts, a FAN of the MW franchise and gracefully remove yourself from the equation.

If you wont take me up on my offer for a job to dig trenches (See page 48) then resign yourself to just pushing a pencil around and do the basic billing and KEEP OUT OF WHAT COULD BE A GREAT GAME!

I highly doubt they diverted any "funds" from MWO for Transverse. They could have been using profits (they are a for-profit enterprise after all) to fund what development was done. They may have found other VC from a core group of private investors, taken out business loans or Bryan may have been developing the game in his own spare time.

All of which is far more likely than diverting MWO's budget to Transverse. That's bad business and PGI's been around for 14 years. If they had that habit, they would have died out years ago and never would have take on this project.

Anybody suggesting they used MWO budget monies for Transverse is shoveling FUD.

I didn't know couple of people could generate negative press to destroy PGI. Some big conspiracy going on with PGI and its white knights.

Seriously, if PGI at least showed some results, kept its promises, and actually listened to useful feedback instead of doing things not even half-assed, there would have been way less bitter feelings towards PGI. Instead it's so much clear that PGI kept on dishing out $$$ mechs for what, a copycat game of every goody out there.

Unbelievable...so they lied to us all the time..and there they were telling us how understaffed they are... Well of course you are ******* understaffed when you are developing 2 games simultaneously....someone has to sue them for not delivering on time...there has to be some form of legal protection for consumers. After all we paid and they broke all of their promises.

This is PGI, how is any of that unbelievable? Just look at CW, first it was coming right after launch in summer 2012. Then in November 2012 is was coming "2013 for sure" with the first features appearing in Jan/Feb. Then May 2014 it was "we're ready to start programming it."

If history proves the "fringe" was correct, was it right to drown them out? And indeed, given threads like this, was it "drowned out" or "we stuck earplugs in and sang LA LA LA while hoping it'd all go away"?

Well, back at that point, they had nothing to back up their claims. Why should you believe someone saying the sky is falling when, back in early beta 2012, the game was really fun and seemed to be improving?

That doesn't mean the claims were wrong...

An absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

:edit:

It's more a case of "in hindsight, perhaps they were correct."

Stretch goals could have been named better.. "$2m - Combat" makes people think "You.. aren't going to put combat in the game unless we reach 2 million?" when it's really a stretch goal for PvP.. which means I assume they had -some- PvE concept they didn't show anyone.

Considering their 1 Million goal is simply being able to have a ship that fly, I think people are reading it pretty generously.

I just wondered...would it be too much to ask for a virtual 3D hangar where we could look at our docked Mechs? I will post this in suggestion forum...

You know with all the people saying there should be an apology and some promises.....

Frankly apologies and promises are what got us to this point. Paul or Russ would provide some half ***** "Apology" for whatever the current outrage was, while promising core features are only 60-90 days out and then continue like normal once the rage had died down/they banned the dissenters.

The only thing that will save this game at this point is that apology and then, instead of spouting a promise and releasing some text you swear is from a design document for a feature you've "Totally been working on this whole time for realz" is to actually pull that 180 and work your rear-ends off to get the game in a proper shape.

I'd say work with the community to find out what that shape needs to be but honestly I think PGI has burned too many bridges and getting the community to actually provide those multi-page well thought out posts on how something can be balanced, is at this point, not likely to happen. You've managed to turn a community that back in 2012 was heavily invested into seeing the game flourish, into one that is heavily rooting for your demise.

Get your **** together and MAKE THE GAME. No more excuses. No more broken promises. Deliver on what was promised back then and you might be pleasantly surprised to find people willing to give you money again.

Please Niko give us ETA on topic lock + ban hammer. There's no need to hold a group meeting for brainstorm session of how to handle damage control. :)

Every couple of months or so a new thread about "Avdentures of PGI" pops up on the forum i base in. And every time i am literally amazed by sheer incompetence and unrelentless denial.

I didn't say its not a possiblity, its just not a likely one. Occams razor and all that. Plus there is zero data on PGI's financials and there is no way anybody here can corroborate that PGI did use MWO budget monies for Transverse. Nobody here can say what or how PGI funded the design of Transverse.

Furthermore, I've worked for companies who toss all their money in one pot and use that to fund things. Its always bad business and those businesses have now either failed or have crippled their potential with that practice.

Zone, let's be fair here. Russ did mention he wanted 2,3,4, 5 (at least House vs House CW PvP), and 6 in the Town Hall.
