So people who hate the game and PGI saw an opportunity to screw with PGI, got away with it, and somehow PGI is still the bad guy in this? Can you people just leave?

Frankly I am offended by the white knights of MWO. PGI ****** up, hard. They repeatedly abused trust, rubbed our noses in it, and ultimately failed to deliver on relatively humble promises for the game (while in reality they were clearly not prioritizing this game).

Right now, MWO white knights are almost as big of a problem as PGI's unwillingness to fix their ****. Stop enabling them, it is disgusting and you are hurting something I love.

To those who don't understand the sadness and angst we first-in-founders still feel - It is not about that they did not make a game we "demanded" they make but all about ignoring nearly every suggestion to keep the simple things simple and only add things of value seemingly out of spite (or that's what it appeared to be after a while and appearances are everything in this business).

EDIT - surprise! forgot about that old sig :)

Page 16... 320 posts... and not a PGI staffer to be found, despite the influx of long-gone former paying founders viewing this thread. I want to say I'm stunned at this missed opportunity, but I'm not. My bet is that they hope it will all blow over soon instead of realizing what a golden moment they could be having right now.

Ill add another founders tag to this post. It has provided so much entertainment value.

This is the culmination of years of neglect for your community and game PGI. People are mad and rightfully so.

Adding mine to the list.

Now, Russ was correct in saying during the Town Hall that its generally inefficient for a developer to only be working on one game at a time. There's some genuine truth to that.

You're right, and with a studio of < 60 developers (I'm probably counting HR and IT in that) it's just insane when you have an incomplete product. This product isn't even in the Maintenance stage, and I'd barely say it's out of Beta. So yeah you're right.

While props for aiming high, but sorry Russ you're not EA or Ubi or literally any other large studio that has the manpower to pull that off. And I'm being generous, because I'm talking as if you don't know what a software development cycle is. I got a feeling you do because if you don't, holy hell if it was a scam you sure as **** mucked that up too.

Pgi would be silly to bann ppl who posted their opinion which they couldnt tell regulary on the mwo forum. This is rare moment for pgi to see whats going on in ppl´s mind if the forum doesnt gets "cleaned "permanently.

Agreed, This whole thread should be an object lesson about screwing over your playerbase: They may put up with it for a time, out of faith, but when you abuse them like PGI has, and their faith dies, they will bite back hard. Also with the backlash to bills like SOPA, you would think people would have learned their lesson about trying to censor the internet.

I'm telling you, honey pot. They just did this so they can commit a ban tomorrow and purge the lists for good. No need for a mod tonight, they'll get to it in the morning after enough flies have become trapped.

Most of us don't give a ****. Look at the < 10 post count founders who came out of the woodwork. Noone gives a **** because none of us are playing. I used to dance around my words but seriously just been lettin it rip tonight.

Don't. Give. A. ****.

It's not like I'm playing, and no matter what they try to tell the public they know that's true. They know who's not playing.

I'll just go craft some mines or drop some titans from orbit or claim my destiny or literally any other game worth playing. Because frankly MWO isn't it. Hasn't been for a long damn time.

500 posts and almost 26,000, as of this post's timestamp.

Lets compare this to some other threads.

November 2012, 1,396 replies, 199,000 views

http://mwomercs.com/...stats-and-data/

July 2012, 290 replies, 53,000 views

http://mwomercs.com/...then-look-here/

October 2013, 2,544 replies, 65,500 views

http://mwomercs.com/...n-short-answer/

The entire Rules & Guidelines category, numbers basically speaks for themselves

http://mwomercs.com/...les-guidelines/

Just to give an idea. I went through all of the individual weight class categories, and didn't find that any thread from any of them has had as many views as this thread. There's one Command Chair post with more views than this thread. Only one FAQ has more views than this, and its for the Clan Packages, made back in 2013 when they were announced.

The only category in the forum that has ever received remotely the same amount as attention as this has in such a short amount of time are the developer blogs, the Ask The Devs.

People are paying attention, PGI. People won't forget this, you can't sweep it under the rug and pretend that it didn't happen. News sites are going to be reporting on this soon, multiple ones.

Probably. I have hundreds invested in a game I haven't played for 12 months. They can have the forum access, and the Mechs, and the unused MC. I've wanted no part of this trainwreck except to watch the derailment, and I can do that without posting.

We finally got a mod back in here. I extend our warmest islander welcome to Alexander Garden. It appears you've been hired just in time for one of PGI's regular PR meltdowns.

I wonder if he's here as a matter of curiosity or we're going to see one of those classic page count rollbacks. I miss the old forums where the deletions would cause a river of red thread redemption.
