Its midnight where I am. I'm clocking out. Current thread status, 711 responses, 39156 views. I'll keep a tab of that open just in case it disappears overnight so there's something to call back to it to if (or when, if you're a cynic) somebody talks about it being a "vocal minority". We've had, what, two, maybe three people in total defend PGI on this in the entire thread?

I think I just tripped over wisdom again, didn't I?

Seriously. I can understand Niko wanting to blame "Them.", where "Them" is "Goons" at the moment.

The alternative is there is a godzillion of real peoples out there in Islandia that are hating his guts right now from all directions, and that's nothing comfortable for anyone's psyche. Worse, that potentially that hatred could be deserved. Giving that a vent, even if it's not a really rational one in this case is a healthy thing to be doing.

If lightning rods could feel pain, this would be NIko's demense at the moment. The bad peoples are not on the island, Niko is on the island, which has irrationally grown to surround him on a small patch of sand.

*A "godzillion" is "the number of square inches one kaiju-sized beast (that is, Godzilla himself) takes up". It is a measure of numbers similar to a metric ****ton is in terms of weight.

...for all these founders to come back a bunch of things need to happen.

1. Fire Niko and Paul. [But not necessarily in that order]

2. Get rid of Ghost heat.

3. Be transparent in everything you do.

4. Give us the promised features.

5. Stop making money grabs.

6. FINISH THE DAMN GAME!

Yep.

If you do these things we'll take care of you.

We're the FOUNDERS.

Didn't we take care of you the first time?

You should listen to us.

Oh, and some cookies would be nice too.

Just sayin.

With the number of people here, the ghost love multiplier must be obscene. I mean, it'd be like someone loaded up a 12-man with LRMboat Stalkers and replaced the missiles with arrows from Cupid.

Add my name to the list. This garbage has been a long time coming and PGI deserves every bit of it. At least I got out before this Niko swine appeared.

I was going to like the opening post but it's just not as poignant a gesture with those other three likes.

Damn it, Heffay!

Holy cow bells! This has escalated quickly. From a simple request from the head administration of the website to a mass public outcry by many of my fellow founding members. I guess this is a good time for PGI to look at a marketing tool to win the favor of some of their longest (if not, financially benefiting) members. To the members of PGI, I understand that the development of the game has had its fair share of shortcomings and mishaps, but this thread in particular is a good reason to carefully plan your next steps. Think of the Founding members as starting angel investors who supported your endeavors from beta to present. Now even though many of us range in the amounts of patience we have had to endure to get the MWO of our dreams, a group consensus has arisen, and (from viewing these many pages from founders and members alike) the majority of the forum in particular does not share your interest at heart. Now I am not demanding a refund, or any uncanny monetary requests, just a simple apology (For PR, to keep the community at ease {minimally}) and some more concrete progress in either software integrity or content drive. We await your reply, by either apology, banishment of us users, or simply brushing the matter aside. Just remember: we are not only your players, we are your customers, investors, and patrons alike. With God speed.
Sincerly,
A concerned MWO player, investor, patron

Still haven't learned much after all this time PGI. You crap all over an IP, and the fans of it, you will earn its wrath. Can't wait to see this final load you push out called Community Warfare, if history has taught us anything...

Guyz I think we got it all wrong. Niko is our savior. Thanks to him, all the once fragmented MWO clans have been united... just like in Homeworld. Niko is basically our GuideStone. Hiigara, our salvation, must then be to never care about MWO again.

He even provided a bountiful thread for us to come together and reach enlightenment in mass. Swell guy imo.

with the new release of 'Clans Wave 2' with new clan mechs and Gold Versions for the low low price of $500, coupled with the nerfs that have recently appeared, we may now witness the true unfolding of the 80's transformers G1 episode "The Golden Lagoon"

enjoy your gold Clan mechs

Was tempted to defend PGI a little, since their new game is receiving such a bad wrap which is going to transfer over to every person that looks at it- and frankly, I feel that PGI deserves a second chance (remember that CW isn't going to earn money), while they work on the 'final' part of MWO.

But then I did some research into the whole affair, and, well...

Mistake #1: You set up a subreddit. Regardless of the reasons, that was silly. Because not only were you going to get a lot of bad rap, you can't moderate it like you did. Your mistake was thinking that you could make something good out of the reddit, regardless of your rights as a company to try and keep a strong image.

Mistake #2: Yeah, it was full of advertising. Intentional or not, that's what it was doing.

So I'm sorry PGI, you broke the rules, you didn't think it through at all, and now the consequences are being. I can't and won't defend this.

But trust me. "The Producers".

I'm assuming your talking about the Mel Brooks film?

I'll say this much for Transverse, it has provided more entertainment in 48 hours than I ever thought possible.

It also caused a miracle and brought us all together. We who oh so frequently fight and bicker and can't agree on anything. We have gathered here with an internet sized tub of popcorn to watch what will go down as one of the best trainwrecks in gaming history.

I dunno about you guys, but I feel like I'm finally getting my money's worth out of MWO because it has led to this moment and it is glorious.
