I donno if I should be amazed that on a Wednesday night at 11:47 PM CST, this party is still going. But then again look who lit the fire under their own ass. Good job!
Chronojam posting truth. Repost since he got permabanned like a week ago-ish for talking about the new project PGI wants us to give money to. :psyduck:
Also courtesy of Chronojam..... A sneak preview of his interective MWO development timeline.......(not interactive yet, but it will be in about 60 to 90 days)....
Check out their VERY FIRST dev blog (after dev blog 0) in Dec 2011. They KNEW from the beginning that it was CW that would sell this game, it was the very first thing they started talking about.
At some point they decided they could get away with not actually doing any of it and just sell mechs instead.
While lying to us the whole time that they were working on it.
Mindboggling.

Trunks, the last thing you want PGI to do is apologize, every single time Russ does it he just uses it as an excuse to insult the playerbase and make the situation worse. Although, that would of course add to the entertainment value of watching their house of cards catch fire and crash down.
Well some form of apology seems appropriate at this standpoint (If not well written, C-bills, or a free mech or two would be nice.) This topic, which had nothing to do with the treatment of MWO players somehow escalated to such. It was like a hidden knife opened wounds which they (or we, not sure yet) proceeded to pour salt upon. As much as I try to avoid disputes, it is quite nice to see the whole community round up together with at least 89-97% consensus on a debate. I have never seen such a thing on a game forum in my life. I would imagine this topic will impact the PGI crew -- in subtle ways to say the least -- in how comfortable they are with their progress with the game.
Not for nothing, but, umm... CW is the whole point of this game, and they are acting like its just one last thing they have to do and they can button up MWO and set it off like its going to run itself. First off CW IS THE GAME, you have not delivered "THE GAME" yet. Man the more posts I read from them, the more I realize they really don't get it. And this latest post on the MWO forums from paul (http://mwomercs.com/...arfare-phase-2/) was a rush job post for distraction. Phase 2, WTF is Phase 1, some ghetto map and groups? Ah never-mind, off to get some scotch.
Congratulation, you apparently violated Reddit’s rules after banning anyone and everyone on MWO’s forums for saying anything remotely critical of how PGI has conducted business. For pointing out all of the false promises, all of the blatant lies, and the history of incompetence that PGI has acquired up to this point; you’ve insulted them, silenced their voices, removed their posts, and whisked them up and exiled them to the far reaches in such a manner that would make a third world despot proud. How’s them apples taste, by the way? Because these island coconuts are awesome. And of course, you want your moderation rights back on Reddit, and, we the community should help make that happen.
I could count the number of [REDACTED] I give on Oscar Pistorius’ toes.
I would like to quote Bill Maher, “When you don’t give people a seat at the table, they tend to want to blow up the table.”
Now, I know Iraqi politics and an online forum for a free-to-play game don’t seem to have much in common, but the point here being, when you squelch people for criticism, those people don’t go away and they don’t shut up. They just stay pissed off. You know, a lot of these problems could have been avoided if you had just communicated honestly with the people who funded your project in the first place. Instead of trying to silence them and sweep them under the rug. Now, you guys are launching a new project, and unfortunately, the MWO founders have gone through great lengths to make sure your reputation precedes you, and make sure that anyone and everyone knows how you guys treat your customers.
One thing I’d like to address here, before I go (And if you guys have a say here, it’ll probably be forever), is the part where you decided to talk about forum moderation (http://mwomercs.com/...27#entry3697227). Let me preface this by saying that I agree, some people take the criticism a little too far, to the point where civility goes out the window. But I would like to point out that criticism of how PGI has conducted business and harassment are two VASTLY different things. Criticism of PGI, while not exactly helpful, is not hate speech. Furthermore, it is absolutely COWARDLY and SHAMEFUL that you would even attempt to shield PGI from criticism by hiding behind a statement that was in response to people suffering threats of physical and sexual violence. And the fact that you want to associate your critics with those troglodytes minimizes the seriousness of ACTUAL harassment. No other word for it: disgusting.
TL;DR LOL@UGUYS. But seriously, it’s ok to address criticism. Avoiding it never leads to good things.
Anyways. Back to the island. It’s an awesome place to be. We have drinks served in coconut husks with little umbrellas in them.

The only time I've ever seen an internet community this united in a single opinion anywhere on the internet it was to condemn the Mass Effect 3 ending, and I don't think anybody here could've missed that ***********.
Pretty sure at this point that smallpox would have a better approval rating than PGI.

That post sounds like a lot of interesting stuff that isn't really even being worked on. Thanks for the quickie, Paul. My son says "Hi".
