Yes, PGI was out of line, but this CONTINUOUS HOSTILITY TOWARDS THEM is JUST AS BAD. Calm the **** down people and stop lambasting the Staff. They ****** up. We get that.
Have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, it's almost impossible for them to want to continue working for such a volatile and hateful community? That you're driving them to extremes?
If you threw this sorta **** at me, every day, for this long, I would have hung myself. Grow the **** up.

There's good reason you aren't a game developer then, because you wouldn't last a week it seems. I truly hope you are not a soldier anyone relies on for protection in your country.
PGI brought this shitstorm on themselves, and it's high time they ate the **** sandwich they made up. Also, get ******.

No.
They've earned it. In spades.
If you haven't figured out why, clearly you missed reading the thread past the first post.

Hell AS a soldier I can't even begin to describe how their Uniform Code of Mechwarrior Justice pissed me off.
The fact that they were willing to compare a forum ruleset to the Uniform Code of Military Justice which is a legal system that defines proper and professional obligations you as a member of the US Armed Forces are required to follow and in some cases give up certain rights that are allowed you under the Constitution (Limiting your freedom of speech in regards to the President and those in your direct Chain of Command i.e.) is what drove me away from actually even visiting these forums.
Though in regard to limiting your freedom of speech I guess they hit the nail on the head there.

There is a difference between freedom of speech and being a *****. See, here's the thing. They OWN these forums. They own the GAME. They are not required by any law to allow you access to it. They're not infringing on your freedom of speech.
They're saying you're a {Frak} and showing you the door.

Amen brother. That comparison is extremely distasteful.

r/mwo got "overtaken"
PGI didnt break Reddit rules, but got Hatestormed by goons
The Game works like a charm, stable, balanced, decend UI
PGI/MWO gets loved where ever they go, theyr own forums, reddit, metascore, etc etc....
(/sarcasm)
Maybe.. just maybe, If PGI would make a game that works,
a gui that is not more horrible and clusterfock then a 1996 RPG programmed by 2 dudes in theyr basement,
and if it would not feel like "milking a cashcow" , just maybe ppl would not BEAT PGI TO SHREDS where ever they show up.
All those ppl you Ban, all those threads you delete, instead of taking them as insult to the
"all godmighty nick who revived the mechwarrior universe in perfect shape for us mere infidel mortals"
maybe listening to critisism, appologizing for fuckups, and some good old decend honest FIXING OF THE BUGGED SH***.
would bring some positive feedback ?!?!...Edit: Quote from Reddit the summs it up nicely:I think PGI deserved to get spanked for this, regardless. They have repeatedly shown themselves to be off in their own la-la land, completely oblivious (and willfully ignoring) legitimate concerns and their own community. They're only interested in one thing: money

This is right. There is a reason why we are all Founders. We gave our money in good intentions, hoping that this unknown developer could use the money to push forward the MW franchise and put it into spotlight and most of all, a great MW game for all to enjoy. We still can get this to happen and we want this to happen. But the developers have to do what is right to turn this around.

New Rule: Don't Pitch Your Upcoming Crowdfunded Game to the Existing Crowdfunders of Your Current Unfinished Crowdfunded Game.
Seriously, you should have kept this **** under wraps or delayed it until later or, well, anything but this. Geez.
