STEAM advertisements to grow the community.

Focus on MWO eSports/competition.

During the "townhall" I got the impression that the game MAY get on steam next year (he said they were considering it, but not until after CW)

Co-op can be tied in with Merc Units and CW. Kill some NPC clans or raid a Davion supply caravan or blow up some troll Liao dropship for daily missions. They just need to let people set the difficulty for 1-4 players (at least).

A single player campaign with a nice built-in tutorial would be great as well though I'm really not the type to like to buy missions.

  • Working monitors.
  • More character animations.
  • Uniform options. Possibly a gender option. (Being male looking down at a man's body is fine so I don't pay much attention. But I've been told by women that how discomforting it is to have such giant hands.)
  • More external customizations to mechs.
  • Knockdowns (that occur by more than just colliding with another mech). Especially want for falling down hills and being hit during flight (so we can have the jumpjets de-nerfed).
  • More mission-based gameplay.
  • Gravity fix (3.27x gravity on all maps...is bleh. Fall damage would need to be adjusted to 19.6 or slightly less [fall in Earth's gravity that's achieved in 2 seconds].)
  • Mech Mortars -- PGI said we'd be getting them way back in 2013.
  • Other weapon systems.
  • Vehicles/four legged mechs.

CW could be copied expanded on in a different era 3025 or 3150 Prequel sequel with more / different maps weapons mechs and load-outs. 3025 would be like I assume IS Stock mech Mondays all of he time.

But a Single player campaign is what a lot of us Lust for!.

In the Town Hall meeting, Russ opened the floor to the players to see what they would like to see after Community Warfare. What would you like to see?

I think they should spend the first part of 2015 polishing the game and improving the tutorial and new player system. Finally get that UI2.0 adjustments in.

1. Dynamic economy / Salvage Markets operated by real economic forces
2. Single player game / PvE
3. Out of Mech gameplay as your pilot

I thought i read somewhere that quad mechs are out because of cryengine.

I could easily be wrong though.

1) Working hit detection. No more rounds passing through half a mech or even registering double.
2) Improvement on desyncs/lag
3) Some kind of ingame voice (with mute option) for the unwashed non-group masses.
4) Knockdowns
5) Real role warfare, maps so big you need a spotter.
6) And maybe bigger armies fighting on those huge maps, with objectives to protect/conquer and resupply infrastructure
7) Proper JJs

Some of the few suggestions in this thread that would likely be very beneficial to the longevity of the game.

Which doesn't mean I disagree with many other great suggestions here, like knockdown and proper JJs. But a presence on Steam and more focus on competition would have a much bigger impact, and be less of a drain on PGI's limited manpower.

CW will be a barebone. So what will be needed in 2015 is fleshing out everything that is just "kinda" there. Like Role Warefare with a huge revpamp of Modules / XP & C-Bill reward system and much more maps for a realistic CW-Experience.

I don't need an Single-Player MW-Game that is based on this Engine

Oh, and the Crab and King Crab have to come to MWO ^.^

Well imho optimization is what is most required... FPS is horrible for mid-level machines. Less dependency on cpu in favor of greater dependency on gpu. It is much easier and more affordable for players to upgrade video cards than processors and such. Fixing the MANY bugs, better hit detection, broken/unseen geography issues and optimization of the UI should also be a priority.

After that I would LOVE to see a Solaris-type arena game play option included, complete with ladder system for various group sizes (IE: singles combat or 2, 3, 4, 6 player groups etc.). I believe arena combat would definitely be attractive to many players and drive a lot of fresh interest in the game. It would give a third option for game play beyond public pug drops and Community Warfare matches. Also a greater variety of weaponry!

Revisit Electronic/Information warfare and change it from a system of hard counters to soft counters. Here are some examples of what I mean:
  • ECM slows down targeting locks but does not eliminate them.
  • Active/Passive sensor toggle that affects the range at which you are targeted and which you can target others.
  • Active Probe speeds up targeting locks and increases the range at which enemy mechs that can be detected.
There are probably some other ideas but that is jist of what I mean.

I want more immersion, specifically in regards to scale.

For example, I want to blast at an Atlas in River City with my Ac/2s and 5s, knocking down light posts and trees. I want to swing my arms in a forest and make the trees bend. I want to be chased by a Jager though a forest where I'm knocking down trees and getting slowed (like hillclimb) with the Jager following me through my path of fallen and broken trees. (Since there is no clipping for trees you may not have noticed that there are paths you can follow through most large groups of trees.) I want to collide with mechs (and buildings) and have it cause damage and possibly slow or stun your mech, or if its a hard enough collision, knock you down.

All these changes would affect gameplay much in the same way that it was affected when they implemented hillclimb. If anyone still remembers when they first made it so you couldn't walk up a cliff, it completely changed how you looked at the maps. These changes would further add to the depth of maps and team play.

With knockdown and collision damage players would learn real quick to not block and leave room for each other to maneuver. Players being blocked are probably trying to get out of enemy fire and get mad when they are blocked, but the players blocking have no reason not to block or try to push and shove their way past another mech. The player being blocked is already getting punished, so this would punish the blocker as well. This change would also affect how players see their relationship to other players in the battlefield in a positive way, and probably lead to better small scale tactics.

I know most of these changes are difficult to implement (most of these changes I'm asking for were at one point in the game but were not technically viable at the time) but even a slight implementation of some of these features would be amazing.

I would like to see them move this version of "balanced" team play back to BT/MW. At present the game only has a BT/MW look to it and nothing is actually close to the original. Every patch seems to move the more and more away from BT/MW. I came to this game (and spent money) for BT/MW not someones vision of what BT/MW should should be or have been. They need to get all this battlefield altering made up crap out of the game and give the players that came here for it what they came here for. A friend said all the time to me "dont fix what is not broken".

Still waiting for 10 vs 12 in CW.

Until that comes, there is nothing else I want to see...

12 vs 12 CW is not the way it should be. Period.

I think definitely a Single Player based on the same art and tech. I would honestly hope they (PGI) outsource that to another studio that would better specialize in that area and just get paid royalties.

As for this game, PGI should really start thinking outside the box and implement some sort of community-enabled content creation such as maps. Having meticulously created maps is nice and balanced, but in my opinion it breaks immersion in Community Warfare. If you've got all these planets to take over, realistically one would expect a highly varied battlefield. This increases the value of MWO tremendously. I just don't see PGI internally being able to really sandbox this game in such a way. Mostly due to lack of staff and skill. That said, what they do release eventually tends to be rock solid. The core game here is amazing!

Other notables :

- Larger battle scope (vehicles, ejecting and running around on foot, aerotech etc)
- Environmental destruction (good grief, we're huge stompy 'mechs for crying in the mud)
- Interactive 'mech lab (can I walk around my 'mech?)
- In addition to the above, how about an office like in Mechwarrior 2 : Mercenaries?
- IMMERSION IMMERSION IMMERSION!!!!

Honestly, the thing I want most from PGI is for them to optimize and streamline this game.
It's way too resource heavy for what it is.
